How to run power...

As you guys know, there are 2 terminals attached to the positive side of the battery.
I have 2 options.
1) Run my new power wire to the stock point and have all 3 wires connected (1 to starter, one to fuse box, and the source wire).
2) Run my new power to the starter (or whatever that thing is), and then bolt the stock positive wire to the fuse box wire.
Which would you guys suggest?
I went and shot the shit with an audio guru I know (and new WRX owner), and we set up a decent power system for my car.
I'll be running a circuit breaker instead of a fuse, but we didn't know which way would be the best to run power, to the starter deal, or the stock location?
Also, right in front of the stock battery location, behind the horn's, is a bigass bolt. Would I be able to ground the stock negative terminal to that bolt? I will be grounding my rear negative terminal to the bolt for the rear bumper. Sound good?
