Well, I finally killed my stock shiftknob. It's completely worn through the leather. I was upset.

Then my buddy hooked me up with one. It's a GREDDY/TRUST knob, and despite it's odd looks it's extremely comfortable and feels nice.

It's pretty dope. Finally a knob that doesn't have the leather worn through :)

I almost want to get a friend of mine to mill me the same knob out of Magnesium so that it doesn't get too hot or too cold. This one is billet, so it'll probably freeze the hell out of my hand in the winter, and burn me in the summer.

I have one made out of the same metal. It does kinda suck in the summer time. My hands are use to it from cooking at work tho.

I still get a nice little red mark when I hold it for the whole trip.

After driving 100 miles on the shift knob, I definately like it. It's heavier than the stock knob, so it sort of clunks into gear. Kind of a nice feeling to add some momentum to the shift motion.

I know with the wood one I have that I also get better feel through the transmission, which I like. I would guess that the metal would be even better.
