Anyone have any problems with this?
How did you go about fixing it?
I am thinking about getting some clear sealer and just sealing around the gasket on the glass to see if that helps. Think that's a good idea?

The drain tubes are probably clogged. Do a search for "sunroof drain" or something and you should find previous discussions about it. I think ciper actually posted a diagram that showed where all the tubes were.
I don't think the glass is supposed to seal around the edge, hence the drain tubes.

yeah the sunroof isnt suposed to make a complete seal, and it's not the area bedtween the glass and the gasket that's not sealed, it's the area between the gasket and the roof that's not sealed. I'll be having to do this VERY soon as I found out my sunroof is leaking the last time I washed the car.

I hate to say it, but SEARCH!

Seriously, there's a ton of threads about it, one of which I think I started IIRC.

Pretty sure there's a sticky on it too, fuckin' noob. *shakes head in absolute disgust*

Hehe, I had this problem really bad for a while and my drains weren't plugged. I had to unbolt the passenger side track and lift it up slightly. Then I put a little caulk in it ( at least that's what she said

) under the track and bolted it back down. It solved 98% of my problems. I still need to caulk it a little more at the back passenger corner though because now instead of having the whole passenger side leak it will pour out of one single spot in a torrent if the cars sitting just right at a certain angle when it rains really hard.

Well, it's another thing to look at on Pit-Friday next week. I just don't have the time to fix it now

Our sunroofs leak mostly due to 2 reasons:
1) The black factory sealant under the rails, where it attaches to the tray gets brittle and crusty, hence begins to leak.
2) if the car has been parked for a long time, or the car has been driven in excessive salty winter conditions, the tray could have rusted through, from standing water/salt water. Particularily around the 2 front corner drain tube nipples. Subaru brazed the metal nipples onto the tray, the heat generated while brazing makes the steel very prone to rusting.
