did someone hide my black diagnostic clip?

Man, I SWEAR I looked and looked and looked before posting here for help...
I want to check for stored codes, but for some reason I can't seem to find the black diagnostic clip on my Touring Wagon. On both my other cars I can find it no problem.
The TW has a clearly visible green connector, but no black one anywhere.
I have even un-bolted part of my wiring cluster down there and moved it over to see better.
Any chance it is somewhere else, or... um... something...
???
I could take some pics under there if it would help...

It may be on the right side of the steering column.....it's there.....just keep digging.

You could try tracing the wire from ECU pin B56.12 and following it to the connector:

Or just put your own jumper wire from B56.12 to ground; that'll accomplish the same thing as connecting the black connectors.

On my '93 SS, it was on the right side.. totally opposite of that in the pictures. It's there, trust me. I got so fed up, and I swearing something awful at the car.. I had someone else take a look, perhaps another set of eyes might help..

It ended up being Up on the right side of the column, way up in there.

Well, this is an old thread but while searching for something else I came across this.
In my case, the black connectors were ripped off by one of the ss's previous owners. I found two black wires just hanging about where the black connectors should have been so I crimped on connectors, held my breath, and connected them! Walaah! my CEL started flashing me a code! This was just about two weeks ago.
