I know the knock sensor wire is shielded, but does the wire shield connect to anything on the block side? My wire is trashed so I'm rebuilding it, I can't tell if the shield was ever connected to anything in the connector. This is all on the harness side. I keep tripping code 22s with a new sensor.

I don't believe the shield is connected to anything on the block side. On the ECU side it's connected to a pin that is connected to ground inside the ECU.
