How do I get oil into the oil pump??

If I remove the relief valve can I pour oil through there???
Either hand crank the engine or disable the ignition and crank it for a few seconds after getting it all together. There's plenty of oil inside the engine at start up. Don't believe the Slick 50 marketing hype.
