you do realise that the JDM STi and wrx had the same turbo.......

before you mount it, wait to see what is going on my car in the next 2 weeks, a modified twisted TD05 16g setup, here come mid 12's!

just cut off the 90 degree elbow and mount like so, kelley if your interested I'll be making up kits like this specifically for the 89-93 liberty/legacy.

Sweet Phil! I wish my car was running right so we could go head to head. It'd be a pretty cool race considering our mods. We'll do it anyways but you'll probably win. ;)

Give me a call if you have any questions during the install. :)

is it just me or is that turbo outlet clearly hitting the intake manifold?

its not you, i can see that too WHATS UP WITH THAT!! :P

Hehe, ya I noticed that before too.

Seems like the bend you'd need to fabricate for the compressor outlet would be more of a restriction then the TD05H-16G's 90 degree compressor inlet, which is what you're trying to get rid off rsstiboy. . :?

Nice find, Phil. Man, I'm without my turbo legacy for less than a month and you AND Matt decide to get your 16gs!

I'm so envious.

Don't worry Jason, I'll give you a ride sometime if you want.

You don't still have that WRX TMIC, do you?

It'll be easier for me to meet up when you do. I'm in Rockville now!!

Man, I hated living in VA!! No offense, Vikash.

That wrx top mount wasn't mine, but I do know the guy who has it, and IIRC he's not planning on doing the turbo kit anymore. Think he's going with a swap. I'll ask him and see what he says about selling it.

Also, I still have a buncha parts from my legacy for you, Matt, and Vikash. Just tryin to get rid of them (don't want to ship the stuff). Some for free, and others for cheap:

TEIN springs (I think Vikash might have more use for these since the fronts are on his legacy)
Throttle Body (no sensor)
WRX intercooler plate and rubber surround thingy
stock turbo
rear braided brake lines (again Vikash might have more use for this since the fronts are on his car)

I don't think there's anything else.

Jason - I'll be in town on Wednesday night to pick up my turbo timer from my house. I can pick this stuff up from you at the usual place if you want.

I'm poor right now, so the IC isn't a definite, I'd like to have it though. Any info would be cool!

Turbo timer? Hmmm, if you're talkin about the one that was in my car Vikash still has to give that to me.

But give me a call Wed (tomorrow?) and let me know when you'd be able to meet up. I'd be able to meet anytime after 6.

Hey Jason!

You mean my brother never gave you the parts out of the car?! I'm really sorry about that! I do still owe you the electronic gizmos out of the car... I thought my brother already pulled them out and got them to you.

I think I'll be in the DC area around Columbus Day weekend, and I'll pull them for you myself. I'd love to make a deal for whatever parts from your list Matt doesn't want, and can pick them up when I drop off your stuff. Or I can send the parts directly to whomever you want me to (i.e. give the TT to Phil).

That's cool that you're in Rockville now... What did you hate about living in Virginia?

Vikash - I got the TT off of ebay, not Jason. I've just gotta pick it up from my house on Wednesday so I can have it with me, if we can squeeze it in at the meet.

Jason - I'm free from about 1pm until thursday morning when I've gotta be in Gettysburg PA to install the turbo.

Hey Vikash! Nope, your brother never got in touch with me over the summer. Don't worry about not getting me the electronics. No biggie. Whenever you can give it to me is fine with me.

When is Columbus Day, anyway? LOL!

I lived in Herndon, and for some reason I just wasn't getting the same vibe. Almost as if people were more snotty. Hard to explain. I also had a falling out with one of my good friends (who happened to be one of my roommates in VA). He was an @ss so I decided to pack up and leave. Good riddens to that!

Phil, what's this meet you're talkin about? Wed night's fine with me. We are talkin about tomorrow night, right?

Columbus Day is the first Monday in October, I think. I'll get you your stuff then.

If it was a problem with people, I'd say that's more of a neighborhood issue than a state issue... I also know some people in Herndon who aren't fun to be around.

That's cool that you're back someplace you feel comfortable. I know I definitely feel different around people depending on where I am, even within a town...

Cool! It'll be good to catch up. I don't think I've seen you since the unfortunate accident when you came to look at the car:(

BTW, how's the thesis coming along? Seems like your date to move back here keeps getting pushed back.

Yeah, I guess you're right. My only living experience in VA was in Herndon. I am a lot more comfortable living in Rockville, tho.

Hehe. At least I don't have to pay tolls just to get to work:)

The East Coast Subaru Shootout at Beaver Springs in PA. It's this weekend!

Wednesday, tomorrow night. What's going on though? Am I going to be shuttling that list of stuff up to the meet? I won't have the 16G in tomorrow night, it goes in on Thursday morning, bright and early :)

Posted: Tue Sep 14, 2004 9:02 pm
by boostjunkie
If you want to take all of it, that's fine with me. You guys can divvy out the parts at your discretion.

The East Coast shootout! I remember Matt talking about that back in the day. So it's this weekend, eh? Hmmm....

Doesn't really matter to me whether you have the turbo in or not, I just want to see your car!

by BAC5.2
Lol, you STILL haven't seen it, have you?

I don't care if I take the parts or not, just thought the guys might like it. I don't know how payment would be handled and such like that.

Jason - Yeah, I'm looking forward to finally seeing the Celica, too.

The thesis is still progressing ever so slowly... There's a fairly hard deadline at the end of this calendar year, so here's hoping.

And yeah, the quality of the commute (whether in length, time, funness, or cost) plays a huge role in how nice a place is to live in.

Hey, can you come to the Shootout? I bet there's some class you can race in, even if it's the "unlimited" class. :)

As for bringing the parts, I can also bring parts to Williamsport on my way back to Ithaca after Columbus Day, if that's better for anybody.
