To gut or not to gut?

After seeing the JDM grille that 91White-T is selling, I though I could make something similar.
How do you think it looks? Should I do it or not?

Gut it.

Go for it. I tried a similar deal on my 91 grille a while back, looked kinda ok, but eventually fell apart. The facelift grille is thicker though, so it should be ok.

Well, I'd cut it, then fiberglass over the holes, then paint it up.

I say go for it. . . .definitey has a JDM flavor to it, too.

Do it Phil! I've been thinking about doing it too for a long time but I want a spare 92-94 grill first in case I don't like the result.

I too have been thinking about doing one for a long time. Let's see what you can do!

i like grilles with emblems. The jdm style looks clean, but I much prefer to have an emblem on it, perhaps an L grille?

I'm thinking of doing mine (eventually) like the WRC Impreza with the center badge lowered or maybe black-meshed with the STI emblem to the side like the STI (or original Shelby Mustang to sort of go with the torque-thrust style wheels the Forrester has as an option).

I was considering that Steve, just lower the emblem and clear out the rest.
Maybe the STi off to the side too would be cool. I'll play around and see what to do.
Matt - Yea, I want a spare grille too, incase I don't like it
