Ohh, more blinky lights!
Definately a 2F2F crowd pleaser.

yeah....they're a 2f2f crowd pleasers....but the fact you can save data onto a memory stick and put it into your computer and have a graph display of your rpms, or whatever you have configured is pretty damn cool, and is IMO what makes them more then just a 2f2f crowd pleaser.

Yeah, that's neat. There's functionality behind the bling, so it's all good as far as I'm concerned

wow. Those sure are flashy... there's true functionality in the full-red-alert deal.. that, i think, is most worthwhile..

Hahaha, I guess it would seem so to one who doesn't really have anything to monitor. But believe it or not lots of people do things to their cars that deem it necessary for them to monitor operating parameters because the ECU can't, won't or it doesn't have an ECU at all.

Those look pretty cool, but its really nothing new... and autometer isn't exactly famous for making the best gauges either.

Cool, but nothing I'd want in my legacy.
In my spaceship... yes.

Just another remote for me to lose in the car. I like the idea though! Espically the "data logging" part.
That would be really sweet. See all of your EGT's and boost levels across the rev range.

Another post glorifying the almighty william.
I've owned two vehicles without spark cut at redline. One was turbo, the other used vacuum controlled fuel injection. I've had the privilege of partially rebuilding the head of one after an overrev, despite having a shift light. Spark cut is cheap and easy, if you rely on a shift light in a modified vehicle, you're an idiot.
The more you think you know the less you really know; only a fool believes he knows everything. You don't need to deride other users of the bbs for your self esteem, machismo, or whatever is in such sore need of attention.
I'm sick of it.

Those gauges look like they'd be a perfect match in the new Legacy. I think they're damn cool looking. They just wouldn't look very cool in our oldish cars

I agree Brian. These look like they would match the Defi gauges in the new Legacy well.

I glorified myself?!? This is too funny. I think there is more than a tach that they offer. I'm not gonna feed this fire anymore. Datalogging gauges are much much more than 2f2f. But let me go glorify myself somewhere else

.
Defi gauges are still the bomb the way they black out when off, if only they didn't cost more than both of my GL's combined.

That would look great next to my color changing light up water temnp gauge that I got for $15 shipped (ebay addiction

), which i beleive is nowhere near nescessary.
On this one the color changing looks nice and I understand the functionality of it, but it does cater a little to the 2f2f crowd.
Plus I wouldn't pay more than $15 for it anyways (unless its on ebay), but thats me.

yeah, the color changing thing kinda turns me off... but that's just my Asperger's talking. Otherwise, I'm sure they would make an excellent addition to any vehicle, provided it was in good taste all the way around. I don't think i could deal with it if my car didn't match --even for that 1/8th of a second. plus, i don't like yellow.

I thought it stayed one color and you could choose which color you wanted. So you could match your interior.

Hardy is correct. They stay the color you want them to. They only change in the "danger zone"
It's a pity when good ideas get labeled rice. I would rather my boost gauge flash red when overboosting is in danger. I'd prefer an orange flash when .5psi over, and anything over that turns red. Same for EGT.

I agree totally. They are pretty cool but wouldn't be a very good match to our cars. I really like the logging aspect and the warning and Danger color change. Those are kick ass features.
I like the Autometer Phantom series gauges. Their green nipple makes the gauge match our dash lights perfectly.

The color change would be nice to match our green gauges. If only I had something to measure.
[Lenny] C'mon, stay yellow. Wow, I'm making great time...if only I had somewhere to be
