Watch out for gas at Sheetz

In the Williamsport area recently two Sheetz stations had diesel mixed in with their gas so watch out when you get gas at Sheetz. My friend got a bad batch of gas in his NA. I shudder to think what it could do to our turbos.

Ewch! Thanks for the heads up.
I usually avoid filling up at Sheetz anyway because they don't carry any octane higher than 92.
Is your friend's car okay?

wow, that really sucks. I only use Exxon or Mobile for my fueling needs.

It seems that Sheetz in PA's have the 92. Sheetz in MD and WV both had 93.
Somehow, at the F&S and the Shootout, I ended up exclusively filling up at Sheetz. I had to get those bottles of "octane boost" to get like 92.5 octane.

Well, in Maryland doesn't Sunoco have 94?
In New York, Sunoco quit carrying "Ultra 94" and instead just relabeled the 93 "Ultra 93." Then they added another midgrade.

Phil- Actually we stopped at the Sunoco in Lewisburg on the way down to the F&S and the Sunoco in White Deer on the way to the Shootout. I got 94 both times. Don't you remember? The only time we went to Sheetz was to get food at 4am, the night before the Shootout, after we found out my motor was fucked.
We had like 4 people at my work get gas there (Sheetz) and one was this pregnant girl that has a BC. She was panicked about her car and she knew I was into Subarus so she asked me to look at it real quick as I was walking by at lunch. She started it up and I thought she had a blown head gasket at first because it was blowing an insane amount of white smoke out the exhaust. Then I smelled it and it didn't smell like coolant at all so I was really baffled. I followed up with her today and she told me about this. Sheetz is paying to have the entire fuel system flushed out, new plugs, ect.. I wonder how many cars actually got this gas.
Scott- Who was it that you know that got some in their N/A? Anyone I know?

Which station is that one, Subaru_Nation555?
Over Columbus Day weekend I got 94 from the Sunoco near the intersection of Old Dominion and Chain Bridge in McLean.

Might just be NOVA. I stopped at a Sunoco outside Sterling, and they had Ultra 93.
Matt - I already had gas both times we stopped at those stations. Wait, no, I did fill up there once.
I ran on the same tank of gas the whole time I was at your place for the shootout. I had like 1/4 tank at the shootout.

Which gas stations do you reccommend?
I hear the BP has additives in it, not sure bout that tho.

I got really watered down gas in Detroit with my GL, but never diesel. The car should be fine after a diesel mix with a fuel system cleaning. We run 2-stroke blend with other additives to winterize fuel injected engines at the marina.

Its the Sunoco on Lee Highway near where Lee and Harrison cross. I don't go there because I have a speedpass which limits me to Exxon or Mobil.

I am sure diesel owners would love that mixture, since it would help alot with hard winter starting...

It was a guy named Brian that got the gas. Eric A. got some too and his car is still running like crap. I told him to go to sheetz, he's procrastinating.

The guy's car is getting checked. I guess he's worried about the diesel expanding rubber components in the fuel pump.
