That's what I say . . . and probably what the seller feels too . . . and maybe what the buyer will say after he puts them on:

Don't they only cost like $150 each new?

Yeah to both posts!
I guess the guys bidding are not too knowledgeable about the tires? Perhaps some initiation into a club? Couldn't be the way it was advertised, could it? . . . Just trying to make some sense out of it.

FG!!--I don't know what the tires are new, they are not worth it. But it may be worth getting them on auction like many of us on the Board between $200 to $300 for a complete set of wrx rims in great condition with low mileage on the re92s to carry us through till we had enough funds to buy better tires later (like me).
When my re92s get worn (or dangerous due to lack of traction) I'll probably get Toyo Proxes 4 for $78 each. They're not maximum traction tires but I think really good for the price.

I'm actually offering 770.00 to the first person to take my RE90-Poo's, kidding of course but if that's what they are fetchin' I might have to throw the RS up on blocks. And this guy didn't stop at the 16's, look at his last Ebay steal....For tha love

Holy crap. . . another couple hundred dollars and the lucky winner could have just bought a used set of forged STi rims and RE070 tires.

I can't belive someone is actually paying that much for OEM 16" rex wheels.

Woah! I just bought some the other day for $200. No scratches, 3k on the tires. They look brand new. I'll probably post some nice pictures when I get around to washing my car and borrowing a digicam.
Maybe I should take them off and sell them on e-bay. For $700 I could almost buy another set and some take-off brakes and suspension!

that auction is an anomaly...I was watching pretty closely for a while and good sets were going for $300 to $450 mostly.
Still way more than I paid for a mint set, picked up locally from a reputable NASIOC seller.

Yeah, I had been waiting for the right deal for months. I was just pretending that it would happen again. I really want to buy some more stuff for my car but have better things to spend my money on. Like school and food.

I've had that happen before, i was bidding on a strut tower bar for my car and the buy it now was 19.99 and the guy had a couple of them and some idiot drove the price over 20 dollars before i just went and bought a different one which turned out to be the exact same one. Pissed me off, i wanted to find the guy and punch the newb. I think it was his first item to buy on ebay cause he had 0 feedback.
