My social life ends now

I know I'm years behind, I know everyone has long since already beat these games and could write an official guide to them...
But I just got my first PS2 today (the new slim one, it's friggen small!

) and my friend gave me his old GT3, GTA3 and GTVC games.
I will be doing little else with my life except playing these games now, at least until I go back to college.
So if no one sees me online or I don't post for a while, you know where I am!

I've had times when I've just gotten on my Xbatch every night for a week straight, too. . .
. . . almost never happens, though. I think I'm just weird!

Hi, my name is Scott and I'm a gameaholic.
I've spent time in video game world before too so I know how you feel. When I was in college I started playing old snes games and stumbled across Phantasy Star. I got hooked on it hard and spent waay too much time playing it. After that, Resident Evil came along and I got hooked on it too. I laid off them for a while and started rebuilding my social life. It's amazing how little time it can take to lose touch with people.

You know when it's 3 am and you can't sleep, or work on the car, and there is nothing to do, you can't beat a good PS2!
I still have a social life and a ps2 ( or at least I like to think so)

Play with the suspension settings.
You can learn so much about them on GT, it's awsome.
Who needs a social life anyway?

I sorta got hooked on Tony Hawk 2 again. I kill that game. But I only play it a couple of times a week. It takes me about an hour to 100% a character now. All I'm trying to do is get Private Carrera...

I love all the Tony Hawk games. I can spank 'em quick too.
I want to get Metal Gear Solid 3. I'm worried it will hurt my marraige though. hehe.
I've currently been playing Half Life and FFX.
If GT4 ever gets frickin' released I think I'll have to take a small vacation to play.

I took a break from gaming, some people refer to it as "work"...
I bought the PS2 Monday, and here is my progress:
I started with the best car you could possibly start GT3 with: Hachi-roku!!!

Or an AE86 Sprinter Trueno.
I have already beaten the Sunday Cup, the Clubman Cup, the FR Challenge, the 80's Car Cup, the NA Challenge and the Turbo Challenge in the Beginner League.
All with the same car!!! I can have it lightly tuned for a little piddly race, or I can bolt a Stage 2 turbo on it and a racing transmission and go 173mph on the Test Course!
I've already gotten my B and A licenses too. This is in 2 days of playing!!!
I know how to play with the suspension settings too, I usually have my camber set at 1.5 degrees/1.0 degrees front/rear, for example.
I'm working on getting a Subaru, bear with me. I plan on getting every Subaru in the stable (
why did they take the BH GT-B out of GT3???

)
I will report back in a few weeks or so.

On Gran Turismo 3 I needed to get my International license. Honestly, I don't see trying for the two hour long races. I like GT but two hours of continuous time is hard to come by anymore.

Okay, I now have 14.7% of the game complete, 3 licenses, 4 cars, about $115,000, and a very sore right thumb
I still haven't gotten a Subaru yet

I know I know. I'm going to get some soon, when I have enough money to pretty much buy any one I want and do anything I want to them. I just really wish there was a BH GT-B in this one
I've also done a bit on GTA3, I've completed 4 missions, got myself about $20 grand, saved myself a nice Banshee in my garage, and crashed I don't know how many tour busses
Also rented Burnout 3. It's a childish cartoony game, but it is kinda fun I won't lie. There's always something to be said for a game that rewards you for driving on the wrong side of the road inches from oncoming traffic

Kinda fun? Man it rocks driving all over the road like you own it, of course you don't have a gunner on top of your car...
Some days I can't believe they pay me to do this, if you have never driven against traffic with people going all over the place to avoid you are missing out. It's a blast.
I'm going to try to get some video of it to show you what I mean.
I have to follow "0" traffic laws, cut anybody off I want, run what few lights work here and if the other cars on the road don't like it, well I got the guns and a big armored truck...

Wow! Good work. I was late to the PS2 party too. I just got mine for Christmas 2003 and am just starting to catch up with the games. Some of my personal faves are GT3, Tony Hawk PS4, Tiger Woods 2004 and Star Wars Battlefront. Battlefront is the BEST game evAr if you're a star wars loon like myself. Nothing like killing a whole mess of wookies

Geez, I haven't played gran turismo 3 in forever. Did you find the formula one car? It's easily the best car for most road tracks.
