Yay!! It looks like I'll be getting my turbo repaired after all. After three months of being unemployed I started a new job today. I want to say I'm happy but relieved is more accurate :) . It seems like I may be *gulp* off of the slide for a little while at least. I hate even saying anything about it for fear of jinxing myself but I guess it's ok to smile and be happy while I can. :)

way to go! What're you doing these days, then? I'm not familiar with what you're trained in, or what you like to do, so.. enlighten us all, at my request?

I'm an electrical controls tech at a plant that manufactures paper towels. It's called First Quality and they make all kinds of paper products, feminine products, and other sanitary products, lol. The place I'm working at was just started by them and it makes only paper towels and napkins. The brand is called Plenty and they aren't on the market yet but will soon be in stores. I chuckled when they told me the name of the brand. It seems like a cool place to work at and my boss is totally laid back. Long hours but good pay. I like working in a manufacturing plant as long as I'm working on something technical and not just standing there.

I hear ya. I'd only take a job like my old one back if I would be busy.

That's awesome, Scott! Congratulations on landing what looks to me like a nice job.

Is the First Quality plant near Williamsport? Or are you going to be moving?

I was already privy to this but again, congrats Scott. :D

Hopefully things in my life will come around and I can get some time to help you fix Magen up! I just need to fix Subarina first. :)

I'm finished up my fourth day today. It seems like I'll be able to perform the job well. I was a little flustered when I heard the words 'on call', second shift and 7-12's but I can't really complain. Most likely I won't have to work seven, twelve hour days for long if at all but if someone in my group quit...

Thanks to everyone for responding to the thread. I plan on repairing my car pretty soon :) then I'll maybe get an FMIC and the inevitable FCD ala V. :) gas is down too, I'm stoked.
