Ok, just relax and let the nice men in white take you to a safe place.

umm.. what season/episode brought that to your attention? I actually thought about your question after I was done touching it, and before I was ready to sleep.. and as I drifted off.. It hit me: Subaru's sound real. It's an in-between tone from the exhaust that doesn't sound 'heavy duty', like a chevy, ford, or dodge, nor performance/ricey like a honda, or some shit.
see, I made time.

Homer's car was made in Guatemala, I think.

hahaah, "She'll go 300 hectares on a single tank of kerosene."

but yeah I was watching some old shows and the cars just sound like subarus. Like the one where Homer ripped off flanders roof to make a plow for flanders car.

Was that the one where the kids get trapped in the school? IIRC the car Homer and Ned drive to the school does have a Subaru sound.

Yeah, that's the episode Hardy's referring to.

"My car, your roof."

But Homer, It's my car.

Might be a different car, but in another episode Ned's car is a Geo. Maude tells him to go faster, "I can't, it's a Geo!"

It's funny the specific cars I've seen in that show. King of the Hill, too. I like how the Simpsons' cars are specifically generic, though.

Hey... You're right, Hardy! Flanders' car does sound like a Subaru in "Skinner's Sense of Snow!"
