My roommate is giving me an air fuel guage and I have know idea where to connect it to. It is a autometer guage and it has just three wires that come out of it. Can some one help me?

Black, red, and green, I suppose?
My guess would be:
black=negative
red=switched power
green=front o2 sensor.

I agree with Jason. Black is usually ground. Red is usually power (ACC). Green would likely be the O2 wire.

Very cool thank you. I heard that this is considered not a true A/F guage. Is this true?

Its somewhat useful, but its mostly just pretty lights. You would need a wideband O2 sensor and gauge if you wanted to know exactly whats going on, but even a narrow band gauge is better than nothing...

So what i have is considered a narrowband guage right.
