Yay! New Fridge!

Well, Art, myself, and 2 other friends are renting this beautiful house overlooking Lake Washington, but when we moved in, literally none of the appliances worked correctly. The refrigerator leaked water, permanently damaging the hardwood floor, the dishwasher spewed water if run, so it is used as a drying rack, the garbage disposal died, the faucet leaked, the oven occasionally doesn't heat past 100 degrees, and the washer leaked water too. So... We got the faucet and disposal replaced, and just got a new fridge. The old one was so ghetto fabulous. It was a white side by side, with black magnetic acrylic sheets stuck to the front so it looked black to match the other appliances. Oh yeah, and the refrigerator side door would come open unless you lifted it up while you closed it. At any rate, we just got a new one!!!! YAY!

I guess it's time to wipe everything out now and put our food back in :?

Oh. Looked liked Corian.

That fridge looks way cool. Are you gonna get a new oven and dishwasher too? New dishwashers are so awesome. Waaaay beyond the technology of the last decade. Now they're whisper-quiet and incorporate disposals. Use Cascade Complete detergent, and you can put pretty much anything in there.

Dishwasher comes in about tw weeks. . . new stove. . . probably sometime next month.

I use Electrsol . .. low phosphorus means I can put my anodized aluminum, titanium-clad pots and pans in there with no chance of damage or discoloration. ;)

Jesus Christ you guys. . .

I CAN tell you that the finish on the rack is smooth as silk, and it's a very warm surface . . . rubbed the right way, the grain is easily raised. . .
