After speaking my opinion I was banned from USMB and basically told to "F" off by the owner. after reading some of the posts on this board I feel I will be at home here.

Hopefully Legacy777 has no hard feelings and that we can co-exist in peace on this board. I really don't know what I would have done without him. Hey Josh...no more blinking power light since speedo piece installed.

28, Male, Livei in Hell (florida)

I drive a 1990 Subaru Legacy Wagon with 243K miles on original engine and tranny. Replaced the usual and the alternator.

I am about to buy an H2 but I am keeping the Legacy.

I've driven my boss' H2 ONCE and it was pretty spiffy. Total penis booster. I even got solicited my first time on the street in that thing. (but then again, I'm also very thexy.)
Welcome to our community, I think you may very well find yourself a niche here, so long as you're not making outlandish claims and you're respectful and tolerant, as we are. While we don't all agree with each other (that'd make us a cult.) we still respect each other's choices, about life, safey, and car-based aesthetics.

I didn't figure the monster I call the H2 would get much love but it's cool. I like the way they look but I am not planning in doing any off-roading in it.

As far as USMB goes, I was the 7th person to ever be banned from their forum. It seems I pissed off a few people over there with my opinion. for most of you who belong to USMB or visit, know that they have a so-called "off-road" forum. In this forum there was a post for the best off-road picture. Some older Gen member posts a picture of his lifted, knobby tired, 4WD, cow pusher grill, safari racked assualt vehicle on a dirt road in moab and everyone goes nuts about it. That got my goose. So I posted a picture of my BONE STOCK legacy wagon on a GORGEOUS trail in Estes Park, CO along with the story of how it got there. Keep in mind I had my wife and two kids in the car at the time to boot. I wasn't wheelin with the guys or anything close to that. I didn't pack a shovel, or boards or a winch...or even a tow strap for that matter. Just me and the family exploring a trail that a local told me about. This would be the same local that said I would need something bigger than my CAR to get me up this trail which was rated a "4" in some book he mentioned. I had been on some 2's that were prety sick so I thought the 4 would give me a run for my money. It was cake!

Back to the point... which I was trying to get across on USMB, was that off-roading is about working with what you have to take it to the extreme. I could have went home and got the lifted and locked XJ but I wanted to make do with what I had and push it to the envelope. Some people I guess do not know the tru meaning of wheelin. It's about the feeling you get when you go where most can't go. Any CAR can drive down a dirt road. Any lifted 4WD car can go down a rock laden off camber road. I took my STOCK AWD 230K mile wagon up a rock laden, off camber road to get where I was at and I was even chased by a bear after taking a picture of my vehile on a sweet hill. Anybody can drive their lifted car into a massive mudhole and get stuck.....but the real off-roader knows when to say no, knows how to manipulate the puddle so that he gets thru with his pride and a running vehicle. When I was younger the whole "If you go fast enough you can get thru anything" method worked...Untill I did that one time and there was a tree stump in the middle of that mud hole that stopped me dead in my tracks and about killed my passenger.

Off-roading in it's purest form is technical. It takes thought and precision.

And on a final note...SUBLIME RULES!!!

so what did you actually get banned for? posting your stock car in a off road forum? or flaming the off road people? I sort of agree with you, its better to challenge yourself with a lesser vehicle than walk through it in something super built.
oh and dont you mean the grateful dead rules?

I was banned for pissing off a moderator. He didn't like that I challenged his forum and the members in it. I never made any remarks towards any member.

I guess they got really mad when I posted my own off-road picture and offered cold, hard cash as a reward to the winner. It was sweet because some people sent in some great pictures too.

It was like the moderators (except Legacy777) were given badges and it went to their heads. And they are crooked!

They are so high strung over there. Cussing is unheard of. I do not condone it but I am not going to go out of my way to sensor you.

I won't buy an H2 if someone can find me an F-650 Pick-up conversion for under $40K or a lifted F-350 (00-05) with the semi tire conversion for under $30K. Must be Desiel, turbocharged and a crew cab with low miles.

They Deleted all my posts..well atleast the ones in the off-road forum.
