The good: it was only 300 dollars
The bad: the tranny is almost done
The good: I found a tranny
The bad: not sre how to replace it myself

Anybody in Denver want to help me with taking out the old automatic and puttting in the used-new one?

trying to stockpile all the engines now too hardy??

sounds like you got a killer deal. the auto trannys are heavy, so i would find a lift or a few people to help you.

I'd stockpile them if I had the money. I'd love to do a high power N/A and I'd still be interested in experimenting with a diesel. The rest I'd only sell to legacycentral people.

300, that's an amazing deal. Shouldn't be too bad a job and for that money how can you lose?

Will entertain an offer like that if the used tranny I am going to put in turns out to be dead too. Too bad you are in CALI and i in COLO

Besides the Ej20TT that i found was from a 96, and not sure it would work, but it did have the crossbar, ecu, and uncut wiring.

twin turbo's dont work w/o alot of modification. one of the turbos hits the brake booster i think.

For now, when I pick up the tranny and get it installed (gonna try it myself but might need a hand helping), then I will figure out if I am gonna go with a complete JDM swap in the future. Depends on how good the new tranny ends up being. If it seems weak, then the engine might be available, but that money is gonna have to go towards my swap.
