1990 legacy turns over won't start.Replaced fuel filter.Getting gas .Does'nt want to fire.What should i look for?

If its a turbo, might be as simple as a vaccuum line/hose that came loose. Damn things are picky about having all their vaccuum in order to start and run and stay idling...

You've removed a spark plug wire and stuck a screwdriver in there and held it close to some grounded metal and had a friend crank the engine while watching for electricity to arc to the metal... haven't you? If this doesn't work then you need new wires, or a new coil pack...

i have this proble too sometimes. i havent figured it out cept for i pump the gas like a carb motor and it starts evenutaly. the problem is verry iratic. it only does it once in a while.

Could have flooded with gas too, if you run really rich you could just have to crank all the gas out of the engine until it decides to start.

When my car wouldn't start, turned out to be I just got some bad gas with too much water content. Had to put some dry gas treatment in the tank and wait a good 15-20 mins, then crank it good and it started. You can try that without wasting too much time, money or effort...

Oh one more thing to check in situations like this, at one point my fuel pump's harness under the backseat decided to burn itself out. I had to bypass the burned connector and all was OK again.
