I was at the mall today, picking up my reserved copy of GT4. I had some time to kill, and was wandering around the mall.

I decided to go to Footaction USA, a local shoe store (not sure if they are national). I wasn't looking for anything in particular, maybe a set of Speedkats, but no one has the Black and Yellow ones that I really want.

I saw the RUN shoes, black and white, white with black stripes, and was thinking about buying them. I have the ORIGINAL Classics, white with navy blue stripes, so I decided against the B&W ones.

Then I saw them. All black. I've seen them a lot, and they are the closest I've seen to the seemingly very rare (and discontinued) Black with white stripes. $60 bucks for them. I asked if I could try them on, and did. Mmmmmm, nothing feels quite like a new pair of Superstars.

I decided that I didn't want to drop 60 bucks on shoes today, and was going to leave. I was putting the shoes back in the box, and casually asked if they had any black with white stripes.

He said.... YES! But only in size 7. He checked the computer. They had 1 pair of 12's left in the area. I said I'd get back to him, and walked down the mall.

I found another shoe store, and they didn't have them and couldn't get them.

I decided to bite the bullet, and go back to footaction and buy them. $60 bucks, I could deal.

I went back, and said I wanted them. He asked if I wanted to see the 7's first, to be sure they are the right ones. He brought out the box. Perfect. Exactly the shoes I have been looking for since 1998.

But what's this? A sale price! $39.99! WOO! He was walking away, and I noticed something else.... ANOTHER SALE TAG! $29.99!

I immediately went up to the register and bought them. They, apparently, were NOT supposed to be on sale, but because they were marked, I was given that price.

So that's the story. I got a pair of $60 shoes, that I've been looking for since 1998, for $30. They should be here early next week !

I'm really stoked on it. I've had my classics for a hella long time, since about 99 or 2000. They are beat up and battle scared, and lasted longer than most of my other shoes. Classics are awesome.

I also want a true RUN style yellow and green (when it's time to get ill), but I definately can't find those local yet.

I wanted a pair of the 35th anniversary RUN DMC shoes, but they are sold out. There's a new pair on e-bay in my size for $71 bucks, but with 3 days left. Some are going for 300 bucks or more.

heh, I used to love those shoes waaaay back when. I had the white/black stripes, and black/black stripes.

206 - Yea, I think I'm gonna try to replace my white with blue stripes, with some white with black stripes. The white with blues have been really good for the past few years, I think it's time to retire them to the shelf.

It pays to shop around.

I've lost count on how many pair of Samba's I've had over the years, they're just right.

we have the exact same shoes

I used to have a few pair of those shell toes. There is an adidas outlet in Orlando and they sell them buy one get one half off.

i have like 4 pairs of superstars now. They're all I'll buy. So comfortable, and hard to damage

Superstars are awesome. I've got lots of shoes, but I always go back to the Superstars.

i have never tried on a pair of superstars. i dont think that shell toes fit my overall style.

right now im rockin some old school converse but need to get new shoes. maybe ill have to try these on when i go shopping.

they're not very comfortable when you first try them on. But after about a month they feel so good. Pretty much, the more you wear them, the better they feel

Yea, I got them at first, in hopes that they would get comfy. Now they feel like slippers. I love them. These are going on like 5 or so years old, maybe 6!

I scuff my heels, so the most i can get out of most of my shoes is around a year
