Will this bolt up to the engine of my 90 legacy?

Are you asking if the two visible flanges will bolt to your heads? Yes, they will, assuming that's the exhaust manifold assembly off a WRX or STi or somesuch.

I don't know if it'll clear your engine crossmember, though. With an uppipe bolted to it I know it won't.

It has an oxygen sensor hole that you'd need to plug with a dummy sensor or M18x1.5 bolt or something.

Are you thinking of turbocharging your car with OEM turbo parts?

That's a USDM WRX header, so yea, it'll bolt to the heads.

It won't mate up to the rest of your exhaust, and it won't fit a TT car, they have a different header setup all together.

I am buying that manifold setup because as you all know I gutted my cat and it sounds bad and I believe I am loosing MPG becaise of it too.

I was tolld that certain Subarus had a manifold that wouldn't be to hard to adapt so that I can bypass the cat. This will be that manifold.

So the drivers side pipe goes in front of my oilpan to the pass side???? Am I going to need a new oil pan??

Dude, that header is for a turbo, you don't have a turbo. It's not going to work for you unless you either have a turbo, and a turbo crossmember, or fab up some crazy ass weird setup. Oh, and in which case you'll still need the crossmember.

Then there is the up-pipe and the DP you'll still need to address....

You were told that a certain manifold exists, you saw this manifold, and are assuming it's the one?

I believe what you're looking for is the one used on certain years of non-turbo models that had a cat that bolts onto the Y-pipe (as opposed to your stock setup that has the cat built into the Y-pipe). You also need to make sure the one you get has two-port flanges for the heads. I think THAWA might be able to tell you more about which years and models had that particular setup.

Instead of buying more and more stuff, why dont you just buy another header-cat exhaust? I can almost guarantee you'd get it cheaper than the custom job you're about to embark on.

I priced a head/cat/exhaust. It is going to be about $500.00 thats some scratch I dont have.

All I need to know is where will this manifold dump out?

As long as it bolts up, doesn't hit anything and dumps out somewhere on the passenger side....I can handle the rest. A friend of mine has a shop where they build race car cages so I will let him handle the rest. I figure we will just cut the flange off and weld up all new pipe from the manifold to the the bumper.

Do-able?

Ohhh yeah....I'm only paying about $10 for this plus shipping.

500 from where, the dealership? Go to a junkyard, or find someone in a forum selling one. It's not going to fit with your stock crossmember, it's going to dump out right into your crossmember. You'd be better off with the other header you were looking at, or one with that style. But if your friend can do custom exhaust, have him just grab a cat and weld it into your stock exhaust.

Thanks for the info. Can you tell me what will fit with little to no mods?

Josh said something about 93-? Impreza with the 2.2

The same header-cat setup you have now will fit with no mods.

I live in FL which is a non-emmisions state so therefore I have no intensions of putting a cat back on the vehicle.

I hope this kinda clears things up.

Putting a stock header-cat setup back on will still probably be the cheapest way to get your car to stop sounding like a tin can full of rocks, and won't really hurt performance much if at all, while being kinder to those around you and to the planet in general.

Okay, I can understand that, but why dont you have your friend cut out the cat and just weld some pipes where the cat was?

I have bigger problems now....see the engine forum for more details.
