My mechanic just bought a 2.5impreza full rally car with STI motor and drivetrain. It's sick..

I was thinking I would like to start buying parts and swap a WRX driveline with an STI motor down the road..


For $4500 CDN I can get the euro sti motor with a Wrx drivetrain..

Can I start with just a wrx diff?? Then the tranny next year cause it still works fine..


I have no clue what install of any of this stuff will cost. But $4500 for 300hp is good

What does it take to do a wrx diff swap.?

wrx drivetrain is essentially the same. Not saying it part-for-part replaces the legacy drivetrain, or that its not freshed than yours, but it will drive like any lsd legacy.

IMHO, i would look to the sti drivetrain as a swap and leave the 22t. It's good for a good sized chunk of power, but the sti drivetrain is quite nice.
