i found that after i broke my nipple off my tank i would need a new one...soon. so i tried finding JC sport ones with no luck...probably because the're out of business. But i did find a coolant tank that will work for $90.00 that is all metal. It is made by canton racing and seem like a very good alternative to our expensive plastic ones.

You're talking about the topmost one?

If you can fit it in place, you should be able to make it work. You'd need to put a 1/2" hose barb in the bottom fitting and connect it to the lower large hose, and then put a tee in the side fitting. One side of the tee would have a 1/2" barb going to the upper large hose, and the other would have a check valve (allowing flow into the tank) and a 5/16" barb for the burp hose.

Canton Racing makes some really nice stuff.

i was woundering what size of check valve to use, and also where to pick one up at, im guessing an automotive store or plumbing store.

I dunno... whatever little one you can find I guess. The hose is 7.5mm ID.

Just make sure it can work with antifreeze, can handle temperatures up to around 250 degrees, and has a very low cracking pressure. I guess I'd just look on McMaster-Carr's online catalog for an appropriate one.

So how's this coming? I'm debating ordering one of these or having one custom made by a buddy of mine, but he is very busy and can only do it where he works. Let me know how it works out.
