Do you ever just go for a drive or take the long way home. Driving my Legacy kinda helps me relax and think. Anyone else?

I go out and drive just to drive all the time. I can honestly say that last year I put a good 13k miles doing just that. I don't think there is anything more addictive than driving. It's satisfying in so many ways and few things can relax me as quickly as driving does.

when I had my xt6 I did it much more than now (driving a jeep) although it's springtime here adn the snow's melting, so everything's all muddy... I always take/took dirt roads when possible, but now I go muddin' sometimes when I'm bored

yeah I do, but mostly when theres snow on the ground. I like to go either early in the morning or late at night to avoid other cars, concerned citizens, and cops. gotta love a little sideways action now and then.
In the summer I usually go play at my favorite gravel parking lot or this huge vacant lot with some dirt roads going through it.

I go out for random drives a lot. It's really relaxing to be in my car, free to go wherever.

Most of my driving is to think, relax, resolve story issues with my writing. I work five blocks from where I live, so I could get away without having a car at all.

I used to, until something broke :( Now I wallow, working every now and again to finish the engine swap. The SVX is no fun to drive at the moment either.

I did that all the time (almost at least once a day) before my car broke. I'd do "laps" on some crazy back roads near my house.

I also really like to go out driving late at night in the snow.

I drive all the time in the SS. The best experience ever was on my bike crusing at 100MPH as the sun set in Northern Colorado.

I drive to Montoursville, PA from my house in Winfield every monday. The trip is like 35-40 miles easy. It's nice to sit and think about life with the cruise set, it's even nicer on my way home with the sun setting. I wish I could 'just drive' but gas and my parents are prohibitive. Although, I have 3 more days left in break so I might 'just drive' to Philly or something, that'd be sweet.

I go for drives to think through my writing ideas or to just get out of the house.

nah I'm Sam, I just read in the gallery that you took pictures of Matt's car, and since Matt lives in Williamsport.... that and I posted a 'spotted' style thread a while back and you refered to a cool cat in a black SS around here, and you happen to have one... I am excellent at deductive reasoning

Ah, I see. Pretty sharp there, Sam although it was Matt that took pictures of my car but that's a minor detail. I don't own a camera yet unless you mean a while back but I stll think it was Matt's older camera. Anyway, that doesn't matter. It (my black SS) looks super sharp these days with the new paint job and all.

d'oh, well then got it all confused...

anyway, if I end up buying Dave's (aka Gus on the forums) Silver SS there'll be another one to add on to the plethora of the local sharp SS's
