More Garden Work...

My mum came up to visit me, and we spent the afternoon gardening. There was this intense "herb" garden near one of the kitchen doors that I believe had not been touched for over 6 years. Do you know what happens when a "garden" goes untouched? It gets grown over by lemon balm.

Please dont make fun of my paleness or fat. I know.

My mom got me a cool hat just for gardening!

I got so covered in mud. It was kind of exciting

So now in my garden, I have
Thyme
Chives
Lavendar
Blueberries
Raspberries
Roma and Early Girl Tomatoes
Bush Cucumbers
Sugar Snap Peas(that's what the whirly thing's for)
Anaheim Chilis
Red Peppers
Italian Basil
Carrots

yay for the garden!

Gardening is good. I used to do alot years ago, now I have seriously slacked off and just have some "dirt" with "plants".

And you and your mom are twins.

Got us a cheap copy of GT4 (almost new)
Secured you a "less than half price" Perrin downpipe

^ Picking up both on Friday

Created a logo for 42 on paper (going to create digital version tonight)

Re-secured my CF A-pillars (picking these up Friday I think, too)

Hooked-up my new speakers at home to the PC
Installed my Phatnoise MM software

Did some cleaning of the bedroom

Oh. . . and I've been working, too.

Because they know breasts contain fat and they have breasts so ...

I figure if no one's killed me before I get too old to drive I'll get into gardening.

Raspberries rule.

We have apple and peach trees as well. So much food will be produced by our back yard. I'm very excited for late summer!

Sorry Steve, that's all I caught from your post. . . .

You're right though. . . and personally, I like some fat ;)

Breasts and ass are useless without fat ... actually, I guess they'd be like dude parts without it.

Yay for fat in the right places.

Looks like your mum has a handle on the dirty hoe in the yard.

Edit - I spent like 5 minutes trying to make this funny. Man am I dissapointed on how this came out.

Yeah Laurel, from those pictures, there's no fat in the wrong places. Skinny girls are gross.

Wow, the garden sure changed from the before and after pictures. I miss living in Oregon. The u-pick places for strawberries and blueberries, the pacific ocean and haystack rock.

I'm sure Laurel doesn't want to turn the thread into a "let's analyze Laurel" thread. But for my .02 I think you look fine.

The garden looks nice. I like the dense look it has, if that makes any sense. Herb gardens are cool like that. There's so much foilage in such a small area that it looks almost sculptured, which I guess it is in abstract way. I wish I could get into gardening. It's relaxing and hard word at the same time. It always cool to be creating something that grows. Something that can be used for food.

Nice work!
I've never seen/heard anyone use 'intense' and 'herb' in the same sentence, particularly when it comes to backyard gardening. +3. :D

Oh, and that hat is like a secret; don't show it in public 'til you're SURE you're ready. Not that it's not cute and floppy.. it's.. uh, you know.

I believe hats of that sort are required for herb gardening.

functional gardens are the best. purely aesthetic gardens are ok, but its so much cooler to see the fruit n stuff ripen and then be able to just go pick it yourself and eat it. My favorites are raspberries, strawberries, peaches and grapes.
I actually took a horticulture class this semester. it was pretty interesting, and its a lot more involved than I thought it would be.
My mom is big into gardening, but its mostly perrenials, shrubs and whatnot. she's got a couple asian pears which are delicious, always strawberries, a couple bluberries that never do very well, and some grapes that arent old enough yet.

Update!

I planted 2 pots of spearmint(for mojitos), some cilantro seeds, and marigolds to ward off insects!
