The rims aren't too bad, they'd look a lot better painted a little less... black. Black rims make it look like a floating chassis. You could brakeleen off the lip like i did if youre lazy and want to change the look a bit, i have the MONSTER.
Those 17's will make your brakes look funny-small. Speaking from experience.
Not at all a fan of the taped over corner reflectors- very High School.
Whats the white stuff on the engine cover?
Looks like a nice clean car, kudos.

i dunno why the cover is white but i'm gunna take some time to spray it over soon, black of course and get rid of the chrome strip.
My main idea for this car is to mainly do suspension and wheel work then prob throw in a perrin pulley, avo short shift, then a KandN. Not looking for any real performance gains becuase it is an n/a but half the ricers in LA i can keep up with so with a KandN and a perrin pulley they wont stand a chance against the boxer. HAHAHA. (Thats my theory)
Thanx for the post.

Nice looking car. I like your rims though but think they'd look a lot better in a lighter shade, perhaps graphite

. But if you do suspension and wheel work don't forget upgrading your brakes. The lighter weight of the FWD and NA really benifits from even a turbo upgrade. Gives you some room to play chicken with the ricers...

Haha, chicken with ricers. I think we know who will win that one. its like plastic versus titanium.
Not that i have anything against hondas and such.
I don't hate.

won't do crap. Save your money.
It doesn't do anything for the ricers either.

Really? Nothing at all? Not even a little push? I'm happy with the engine performance of the car now but i just want at least 10 horsepower. I heard the pulley, grounding mods, and kandN help add some horsepower, but i'm not talking horsepower to beat a wrx. I just want the engine to feel as if its got a little bit more UMPPPH in it.
I've had my friends with 250-400 horsepower wrx's drive my car and say that they wanna buy my car (prob being nice) to have it as a second little get around car. Kinda makes me want to push it a little bit more. I also raced my room mate one night at three am who claims he has 160 horsepower on a 2002 civic ex four dr (down pipe, catback, and intake then some suspension mods and a carbon fiber hood), and i was able to keep up the whole way.
(Should have smoked him, we never had an off the line race, always him in front, little bitch

)

they might do something, but nothing more than a good launch would do.
Your airbox is the same as that used on a 300zx. I doubt it's a restriction.

Just see if Delta cams has a regrind for the n/a ej22, the pulley looks nice but thats the most noticeable diff.

They have one.. they should still have your specs on file.. I'll be calling about it.
I asked around and it sounds like the tleg cams, as you had modded, might also give an NA a little more power, as well..
I should call them today. . .

160 Hp, but no torque and that's very peak HP at that. A new Si was faster on the highway, but couldn't lose me with the N/A turbo block. What matters is that I've embarrassed both that POS and a done up Del Sol in a couple corners. The Del Sol stopped next to me at a light and just stared in disbelief at the old wagon that was pulling on him even using a tighter apex.
The cheapest way to more N/A power would likely be dropping in a 2.5 if you find a good deal.

Turbo cams dont belong in a NA, there's no valve overlap.
2002 civics have a .4L displacement bump and a weight gain, they're not the lightweight high strung cars of the 90s.
There's really not much you can do for extra power, but the solid weight distribution and decent suspension can make for some solid handling.

I've got an NA FWD and would like a little power too but I know it's a pipe dream to get much more. One of the best things I did though was seafoamed it and changed all the filters, aside from the fuel sock. Give it a good tune up and it'll be happy. I've done the grounding mod, even have one coming off my O2, but didn't notice an increase in power. I did however notice a smoother acceleration with less hesitation and a lower idle. I also removed my AC, casualty of a lose crank pulley bolt, and noticed an increase in acceleration from the weight reduction. A little bit of care to tire selection and struts will make a tremendous difference though in handling. I know I can't beat some of the cars around here straight line but I'd spank them in the corners, and have.
