How do you take off the rear lights on a 90? I've opened the cloth panel thing, take out the blubs unscrewed the 4 nuts around it but it wont come out. Am I missing something? I was kinda frustrated and hit it and put a crack in it  So yeha how do you get this thing off?

They're glued in sort of. Theres a line of caulk running the perimeter of them. Just try to pry them from the area where they meet the hatch. should pop off if everything's undone. :)

Put slow even pressure all the way around. The stuff is really stretchy.

You don't need to put adhesive stuff on there......just sort of reshape the black goo stuff, you may need more of it.

Its not something that ever sets up. Just massage the old material back into shape and put the headlight back on. Think of it like silly putty.

Yeah, it stays permanently gooey. It's gooier when warm, though, so a heat gun or even a hair dryer may help.

bad idea to paint the housing on my corner lens black?

What do you mean by painting the housing?

If you're putting any kind of tint on the lens or coloring the reflector, I'd say that's a bad idea. The lights are plenty dim from the factory, and really could stand to be brighter...

Well I just finished it about an hour ago, looks hella nice. The only complaint I've got so far is that the reverse lights aren't as bright as I would like. That's not to say it doesnt show through at all, but it's just a lil dimmer than stock, as to be expected. The corner lenses didn't get as dark as I would've liked they kinda look red-orangish in direct light, the front turns look hella nice, kinda hard to notice at night but still almost as bright as stock. The rear looks hella nice, and I've discovered two things about it, first the main problem with the rear on the 90-91 is the gray parts, not the chrome or anything, the other is that the middle portion is not red but burgendy, Didn't know if you knew this but yeah the black really shows this. At anyrate, I'll hopefully have some pics tomorrow if I finish off this last roll. Thanks for the help ^_^
