For some reason, whenever I try to start my car, my starter wire has come undone. I plug it in as securely as can be, but every time for the past few days, it has come loose while driving.

Man, this is getting annoying....

add a lock washer to the bolt, tighten the nut over it; should keep the nut from coming loose.

what sorta plug is it? (Havnt had to do anything in that neck of the woods yet *touch wood*)

if its just a crimp -get some needle nose pliers and GENTLY squeeze the part that grips onto the tab

It's some plastic connector. Plastic all around, and around the plug.

I believe that it was originally supposed to snap into the plug, but it lost that functionaltiy a while ago.....

go the the scrap yard and cut a "good" connector off another car and replace yours with one that does not have the broken clip

There are no scrap yards within 2 hours of where I am......

Oh, well. Fixed it by squeezing it a bit tighter with pliers. Had to squeeze the plastic, but it didn't break.

Had that not worked, I had a 1" piece of 16-gauge wire with connectors on either end I could plug between the wire and the starter.
