moving to ashtray.
i'm a true '90. Not some bastardized "built in 89 as a '90 model".

I've gotta be in the top five or something.

Misc- Subaru-related topics that don't belong anywhere else...
Ashtray- This is for non-Subaru related topics. Keep it realistic please.
not just 'subaru related' but also pertains directly to the bc/bf models.

I too have noticed that too many misc topics are in the ashtray and too many ashtray topics are in misc.

Mine's 11/89, so I guess I don't make it. Plus she's got to be end of the month as I don't get on well with scorpios, yet Sagittarius, like my ex, knock me to my knees.
My 240Z was 5/70, though.

1/90 so mine isn't nearly the oldest but at least it's a true '90.

Who has the earliest production number for the year?
Mine is #22 of 94. One of us COULD have the first Legacy ever.

Unlikely, in foreign markets the legacy was sold as a 89 model.

I had thought for the longest time that no 90 Legacies were produced at SIA, but reviewing their history, apparently they were.
Having that in mind, I thought my Legacy was one of the first to be built at SIA, being a very early 91 (7/90), but I guess not.

every car i've ever owned was built in Japan. My crx was built in Gunma I believe, and both of my legacies were japan models.

The donor legacy was built in Indiana. I noticed subtle differences....I like the japan made ones.

was there a difference between the sedans and wagons in the EARLY years? My 90 wagon behaves way different than my 90 sedan.

Scott, I think I got you beat!
While I don't have older than 05/89, I just went out and checked both my rigs.
I have TWO 05/89s!
Both the wagon and sedan are dated 05/89!
I guess we will have to compare vin #s and see who has an earlier one!

last 6 digits are 612752. Bring it on, Mr. Vincent!

Ok, first we need to assume our last 6 vin numbers are in order of vehicles produced.
If so..........
My wagon loses at
916428.
But......
My sedan wins at
612340!

The headlight harness/setup is different. It's hard to explain, but it's more cumbersome. The other stuff is just really minor fit and feel of the vehicle. It's been too long, and I don't remember specifics. It might have been due to the condition it was in....I don't know.
