What do you want to fix at the F&S shop night?

I thought maybe it would be nice to know what people might want to fix/troubleshoot at the F&S preparty. If there's something you need/want to do, post up!
I'd like to troubleshoot my fuel cut problem and get my new front fenders installed. I also would like to maybe do a compression test if there's time.

I was still getting fuel cut with the fcd when i had my 16G and walbro pump. I wonder if it had something to do with the knock sensor.

I'd like to check out a few minor things but I doubt there'll be time.

If Vikash and I don't get to it before the F&S, then I'd really like to do my oxygen sensor and check my knock sensor out.

How are we going to swing this? We can't all be working on our cars can we? Are we going to do it in the street or one at a time in your carport (can't see that happening). For the sake of argument say we do them one at a time, it's your call at that point Matt but we won't be able to do but one or two people's cars.

haha Scott we don't need to touch my car I can take care of that stuff myself
you, Matt, and Phil can all duke it out but I bet Vikash can take care of Phil's O2 sensor in a snap

The reason I asked is that, without saying for sure, there's a parking lot next to my apartment that I've used to work on my car. If it get's to the point where there's a lot of requests to look at stuff we should be able to use it. Just a thought. If not we'll start on Matt's car and work from there I guess. I was also trying to take other factors into consideration such as third party influence.

I just bought a MRT electronic boost controller and I doubt that I will have time to put it in before the F&S. maybe...
I am barely gonna have time to finish up the suspension and intercooler.

Weeeeellll, it all depends. The only time a car would really need to be in the carport would be if anyone has to crawl around on the ground or if it's raining. Otherwise, we can just all park in a line out back and work on them all at the same time. Plus, we'll probably start either Phil or my car earlier in the day since Phil and Vikash are coming up early.
Phil/V- Did you guys get V's clutch and flywheel in?

...Assuming it's not raining or anything. If it's raining, shop night will probably involve a lot more chillin' and spillin' than wrenching.
Phil and I didn't manage to meet up to work yet... At the moment my engine's on a tire on the garage floor and I'm in Ithaca. Hopefully my car will be running well early in the week though.

Oooh, better get on that! At least the drive up will be half the required break in miles.

Yeah... I'll definitely have to drive it a lot after putting it back together.

Vikash - I am only free after 6pm from here till the F&S, and not on Monday (installing a chain, Stainless steel brake lines, and brake pads on the bike). Let me know, and we can set it all up.
Also, we will be meeting to leave at Debbies house. She said she'd help make us a big ole' southern style brekfast before our trip

Oh well, it really doesn't matter I guess. I don't know what all I need to do anyway. I need to replace my oil pressure sensor, I'll do that Monday. I was thinking of trying to re-route my diverter valve piping and maybe try using another diverter valve that shouldn't be too hard. I haven't installed my uppipe yet. If anything, that would be what I would want to do and yet it's a task.
So what you're saying is that it will be you Matt, then Vikash and then Phil? That hurts, man.

I guess I'll have to settle for a maybe third under the carport. I'm just kidding, I'll be happy to just watch.

Phil - Well, hopefully I can do most of my stuff during the day... at least the pre-engine-install stuff (cleaning the crud off, rear main seal, valve cover gasket, flywheel, clutch, turbo install, motor mounts, EGT probe, oil cooler plumbing, etc), and then when we can hang out we can focus on your car. I'd actually love to button it all up on Monday so I can have the whole week to break the clutch in and locate a radiator for the AWIC, anyway. We'll see... are you free all three evenings after Monday and before Friday?
Scott - I think Matt was just saying we'd start on our cars if we were there earlier than other people... Are you going to be over early too? Hopefully Phil and I won't have that much to do on our cars if we can manage to do it before we come.
Replacing the oil pressure sender should be easy enough... I would suggest you try to get a new aluminum washer for the base of the plug though. I think you might be able to just use an 18mm copper washer instead but I'm not sure.
What kind of diverter valve are you going to try switching to?
Since you've removed your turbo recently, the uppipe might not be that hard to do. We'd just need lots of PB Blaster to soak the five fasteners that you haven't removed recently.

I ought to be free some of those times. I can't be out to late, since I work early, but you know how it is.
Monday - motorcycle work.
I'll check my work schedule today and let you know. I can't think of why I wouldn't be free.
Are you cool with meeting at debbies?

Vikash - I really was kidding around. It doesn't matter if we get to it or not. It would be nice but it'll get done either way. I don't know much about the DV at this stage. I'm learning. I've been reading older posts you've made about using a first gen DSM BOV, who knows. I've got all new studs and nuts for the new uppipe I don't have a new gasket. I'm going to get by with the old one which is in extremely good shape last I checked.
Phil - Stop it!! You're making my mouth water with all the southwestern breakfast stuff. I'm hungry, an omlette would be yummy right now.

Phil - Yeah, I wouldn't ask you to work late... If I can manage it it might be better to work on your car at your place so you don't have to spend the time traveling, too.
Oh, yeah, I don't know why I forgot to respond to that part. I can't wait for breakfast at Debbie's!
Scott - Maybe I can bring the 1G DSM BOV for you to use... The way I hook it up (with the Civic radiator hose) closes up the fracture in the compressor inlet boot, too.
The gasket should be reusable, especially with copper spray.

Awesome, V, that would be really cool to borrow for the F&S.

Cool; assuming my AWIC is installed, the BOV will be yours to use.

Ok, schedule. Monday, bike stuff. Tuesday, work late. Wednesday, off at 6, free till around 9 or so. Thursday, off at 7, want to get a good nights sleep.
Looks like wednesday would be the best day for me. What do you think?
I'd prefer to get my O2 sensor fixed before driving the several hours to Matt's, and hopefully figuring out why my knock sensor is going bonkers (it's on more than it's off). But we gotta finish your car too!
I'll get you her address soon for mapquest.
