Hey all im taking a automotive painting class right now.. and i was thinking of making my car a diffrent color.

I was thinking of keeping it original color but ive always wanted to have a bright orange car.. or a nice looking color on our cars...

help me figure out what color to repaint it.. thanks

I saw a lime green Porshe 911 in traffic the other day and gave the guy a nasty look and shook my head. So, uh, don't paint it lime green.

That's a factory color on the 2.7's!!!

Oh. Well, it was still ugly.

I don't know about your car but when you're done with your class, you can paint mine for me. Reno isn't too far from Vegas...isn't it? I know it's up north.

I like that almost purple color the 2.5 RS had for one of its last years. I might go this color with mine after doing the 22B flares.

I also love the dark (black) red that Maseratis and some Ferraris had in the fifties.

Dark gray metallics are nice also.

Dark grey or dark blue. I want to get my car painted this summer too.

paint it black, but go over it with a pearl or something cool looking.

bmw anthracite is a niiice black metallic

keep it black so you don't have to do the door jambs and hood / trunk lid insides perfectly

He's got a point.
I checked on pricing and whatnot for painting my car, and I'm going with the stock color. . .
Not only is it cheaper by quantity needed, but
it's just waaay too hard to cover all the right places with your new color. If you re-paint it stock, you're allowed more fudge room.

crimson pearl - love that color

i like the idea of adding the pearl to it.

the guy at PPG paint said its around $800 for all the stuff to paint the car. i wonder how much it would be to add a pearl.. hmm lets find out today.. if hes open.

nah thats the best paint that ppg makes for mica black.. its db paint, k32 primer, paint reducer, and clear coat. the cheaper one would of been like 400 or so..

I need to get my car repainted soon, too.

I was originally going to get it done sedona red, but I think I'll just keep it Rio Red.....
