A piece of trim came off my Tahoe and the double sided tape or whatever is still on the car. Anyone have a recommendation on what to use to remove it? TIA.

Peanut butter gets sticker residue off of glass and painted metal, and likely plastic.

I'm not quite sure how my dad found that out...

you'll have to carefully pull or scrape the foamy part off before the goo gone will work - it is powerless against the foam itself, but it will do well against the residue.

a plastic bondo spreader works pretty well as a scraper, but make sure there is no dirt or you'll leave scratches

goo gone is the stuff to do.

If you have some bug and tar remover, it will do the same thing though. I'd also suggest after you clean the goo-gone residue off(it's greasy) to claybar and then wax the area. :)

yeah, you'll need to wax afterwards.....goo gone eats wax. Tree sap got on my car, had to goo gone it off, but then when I sprayed it with water there was a nice area that didn't bead water.
