Pinging at max booste any ideas

92 octane and lately the car is pinging when under load. I think the fuel system is fine but I don't have a walboro pump. Maxing out at 10 psi of booste with no intercooler
Wondering if wires could be the problem. I have had some NGK blue wires in there for about 100 000Km. Do they wear out?

i agree, any time you run anything above the stock boost regs, you bassically have to use an I/C. Check the intercooler forums and you should find your solution there.

I have been running the car like this for a while now and it never used to ping. When I say max boost is 10 I mean it sometimes spikes to 10. Normally full boost is around 7-8 and it still pings.

Changed gas lately? Running premium?

CHECK your plugs and wires. Make sure the plug wires are secure.

Ya i will get new wires today. I always run premium and the plugs are new. I hear our cars go through wires and mine are 3 years old>

spoke to the stealership because no one has wires for my car and they said that wires wouldn't cause pinging.
Also I do have a newer knock sensor. What if my fuel pump doesn't have enough pressure. I did replace it once but with a cheap one.
I will start looking for an intercooler!!!

just checked the resistance of the wires and coil and they are fine. I am going to pull my injectors and have a look at them. Maybe soak them in injection cleaner. I am thinking my problem is fuel now. Also found an intercooler from a saab 900 for 100$ at a wreckers. I will turn the boost right down until the pinging is gone I guess. Any other ideas what might be the problem. It is pretty hot here right now also.
