Well, hell, I could make that trip in an hour.

::Edit:: Do I have to race? Could I just come watch for the day?

I'll be up in Huntingdon which is less then an hour away but I'll be settling in to school so I can't make it. If only it was a weekend or two later. Hope everyone has fun.

Too bad, it would have been nice to finally meet you. :( If you can find a way to make it happen, we'd all sure like to see you.

I know that Phil is coming up Friday night and staying at my place Fri and Sat.

Vikash is coming up Fri and going to the preparty and Shootout.

V- are you staying Saturday night too?

Oh and have you heard from Mark? Is he gonna come?

Steve- When are you coming down and which nights are you staying?

Jared- Any word as to wheather or not you can make it now?

Let me know guys!

:D

Scott- are you still coming to any of the festivities?

I'm going to try my best to make it but I don't know for sure. I might be going out of town that weekend.

School starts Wednesday, I'm not sure if I can attend. I can probably go to something though, I'd like to get on some of the driving fun as we know I consistantly run 18's in my wagon. The BBQ seems like it'd be awesome though.

I really hope Mark can come!

School starts Monday for me, but I'll be there :)

I'm coming on Friday. I don't know for sure if I can stay Saturday night as well, but I'd like to.

Unfortunately, Mark can't make it. :(. But hopefully by the time the next meet rolls around, he'll have the venerable boostjunkie transmission in his car.

Pardon me if this has already been posted, but what is the schedule for the festivities on Friday? I'd like to attend everything.

I'll be there on Saturday so I'll be staying that night. Sunday I'll likely be going to New York fairly early.

I sold a $3000 road bike today, so I am going to try to use that as leverage to get out of work earlier on Friday. I'm really hoping I can caravan with Vikash again, that made things much easier seeing another T-Leg in the rear-view and radios to help stay awake and talk about wanting to own a school bus.

Scott-Out of town huh? That sucks. Did you finish CC?

Sam- Lame, 18 seconds in the 1/4 could be top N/A dog this year, ya never know!

Steve- cool, wish you could stay longer on Sun. I have a real nice drive planned for us.

Phil- Sweet! I hope you can get up here early.

Vikash- That sucks Mark can't come. :(

I hope you can stay Sat. and hang a while on Sunday. I have a really great cruise planned for us and stuff.

Festivities on Friday will be. *drum roll* I'm off all day, plan to do some work on my car (plugs, oil change and test pipe) and we'll hopefully leave for W&L around 5:30-6:00. Probably leave there around 9 pm and then we can do whatever, hang out at my place and wrench, talk, ect.. or go back road driving, whatever. Jason (my neighbor) said we can use his garage if we need it and he may be hangin' with us too.

Saturday, well, racing starts at 10 am. We can either sleep in a little and head over whenever or get up and have breakfast at the F&S Perkins, whatever. After the Shootout I thought maybe we could have Mongolian BBQ for dinner on the way back into town. That night we can do whatever too.

Sunday, I have a really sweet backroads adventure planned, everything from gravel to spankin' new, fast as shit tarmac and a video camera!

oh damn me and my horrible sentence structure!

what I intended to say follows:

I think I'm going to miss out on the track stuff but I really, whole heartedly intend on coming for Sunday. My Yokos could use a workout.

I'll try to come to the Friday night stuff too as it's right down the road from me. This time we aren't going to be following any of my shortcuts, aight?

Yeah. :(

I talked to him on the phone this evening and he conveys his greetings and regrets.

Way cool! Assuming Phil does manage to get out of work early enough, I think I'd like to try leaving from Gaithersburg around noon, then. Unfortunately that schedule might miss the oil change festivities, but at least there'd be time for a little screwing around before leaving for W&L.

Yes!

Ooooh... that sounds like so much fun. I hope I don't have anything I have to do on Sunday.

I swapped out my completely dead Axxis Ultimate pads for some $19.95 Wearever Silver pads that feel like they're made of soap or something. So I won't be able to brake as well, but aside from that my car's a lot better set up for a fun drive than it was last time, with the v7 STi struts and springs. And the 205/55R16 snow tires have been replaced with 205/45R16 Kumhos. Yay.

I'll see how early I can get off work. I might try to work a bullet on Wednesday so I can cut out early on Friday. They scheduled me noon to 6, but I'm going to try to switch it to something else. We could probably leave at around 1, if I'm lucky.

My car is also better prepped for back-roads. no interior, snug seats, and re-92's (at least they don't rub). Oh, and a good alignment too :).

Sam- I know what you meant, I was giving you crap about not coming Sat. ;) It's cool though.

Phil- When will you know if you can get out of work early or not? If you can get out at 1 and get right on the road then you, or you and V, could come straight here and then we can all go to W&L together. A departure any later then 1 and I think you might have to go straight to W&L though, as I'd already be heading that way.

V- My front pads are bad too. I need to redo my front brakes/rotors but it'll have to wait until after the shootout.

This sounds like its going to be a blast. Unfourtunately I definitely won't be able to make it, unless I find a sugar mama in the next few days.

More bad news - I'm out. My front end is not good and subaruparts.com refuses to ever answer the phone or return calls so I haven't been able to order the other tie rod they should've sent over a month ago (in place of the outer tie rod I didn't order). I thought it would be fine for the trip either way, but it's gotten bad and I'm looking at about 900 miles of driving.

At least there may be something good coming my way, but I don't want to say anything more until I know for sure.

Sorry guys.

Steve

Wow, that really bums me out. I was really looking forward to having you hang out a bit longer this time. :(

I understand though for sure. A 900 mile road trip with a car that's not totally sound is a bad idea, and there'll be other meets.

Steve - Can I pull a tie rod from my 91 and overnight it to you? Would that be adequate for the short term? If you give me a hand, I could pull it tomorrow night and ship it out thursday so you'd have it Friday morning.

I probably won't be able to leave until Friday evening. Stupid work.
