White trash

I just had a demolition derby with myself in my backyard with two "junk" cars. Is that considered white trash? No Subarus were hurt, just a Celebrity and my turbo New Yorker. And myself. I had more speed than I thought when I T-boned the Celebrity, and my neck will be sore tomorrow I'm sure. I hit so hard, I pushed the celebrity over the whole width of the car, popped the bead off the front tire, shattered the pass rear window and cracked the windshield. I also buckled the rear of the New Yorker down, and the rear quarters are rubbing on the tires. Still runs good, though! Anyone want pics? :D

[hijack]I want an old turbo Chrysler New Yorker, or LeBaron or something like that, and just boost it, so I can embarass some Honda boys in the best way possible, until it breaks in 2 weeks.[/hijack]

Well, hell yes, we want pics! And perhaps an explaination as to why you were moved to do such a thing. I does sound like fun, though, except for the injury.

As far as the white trash thing, does this happen near a really trashed mobile home with a dead major appliance or two on the front porch and an old Ford pickup or Maverick up on concrete blocks in the front yard?

When I lived in CO I pushed an old dodge shadow across my apartments parking lot with my 79 Jeep cherokee.

That was fun!

I'm going to say it's not white trash. But then again I am a redneck.

Let's see, I have two old Ford trucks torn down to the frame in my backyard, does that count? These two cars are headed for the junkyard, so I decided to have a little fun with 'em. I should've kept the New Yorker for an actual derby, but it's a little too late for that now. It ended up losing both bumpers when we hooked a chain to both cars to move the Celebrity back into position for the the flatbed to pick it up. Should I mention, also, that I live in the middle of town? I was expecting the neighbors to call the cops.

Screw the neighbors!!

I have gone thru 3 sets of neighbors....I wonder if it's the bass, the cars, the car parts? Maybe it's the lights at night in the driveway lighting it up like the space shuttle taking off from my street.

I took one of the fence panels to my back yard and cut it in half and put hinges on it so I could park cars in my back yard.

You might be a redneck if.....

Ya, that all sounds familiar. I've got a triple 500 watt light; 1500 watts of light really attract mosquitos, too!

I have seven vehicle here now. I just had the eighth one hauled out of here, these two are leaving, then I've got two more I'm bringing here next weekend. That brings me back to seven. Not all of them are mine, however. Like the 5.9L Supra.

We can determine your white trash status by how many bug zappers you have going at night....

I got one hanging from my rain gutter to keep the critters away at night.

I'm putting in a vote for white trash.

We've had a mustang sitting in our driveway for the last 4 months, it runs, but I still feel like white trash

I don't have any bug zappers. But I do have pics. Pages 6-7. Enjoy.

I could actually qualify for white trash status...

There are 4 cars on my property right now. I'm here by myself.

Although they all run, the wagon isn't mine, and the Isuzu truck was technically sold a week ago :?

Best car I have ever seen on cinder blocks in rural GA was a late '80's Jag XJ-6, and I saw it in the mid '90's. The body looked great, but there it was--all four rusty discs sitting on cinder blocks, right out there in the front yard. Guess the owners wanted folks to know they owned a Jag. I have a photo somewhere--if I run across it I'll scan it. What a tribute to Jaguar quality!

oh I'm white trash... and I bring it with me everywhere I go!@

my dad's house... I won't even bother trying to explain...

my mom's house, there were cars all over her lawn for a while and boy was she pissed....

and now that I live with the gf and her mother... we've got tons of cars all over the lawn there too (as well as my cars strewn about at mom's and dad's...)

currently we have on the front lawn:

1964 studebaker pickup (283 v-8 4spd) MINT
1989 saab 900 S (BROKEN DOWN GOT FOR FREE, then stole cd player and parked)
198x chevy blazer 4x4, tranny ate itself and the body fell off
2000 toyota corolla (gf's grandma's car)
1991 legacy when it's running long enough to make it home
1995 jeep - traded for 1988 audi quattro today
1987 toyota camry rusted and falling apart headlights, windows, body busted

I'm not even going to bother continuing...... :/

did you trade your jeep for an audi or the other way ariound? Either way someone is getting screwed...

it was my dad's jeep and his audi, so nobody got screwed (except him because he got the jeep back and I got the audi)

You would rather have an Audi than a jeep? Whats wrong with the jeep?

the jeep sucks dude... 220k miles, every part in it is worn out because the only stuff that's been done is routine tune-up twice, brakes once, one seal and it's a 1995.... inspection ran out, cat's punched, windshield's cracked, the list goes on.

long story short the jeep won't pass inspection without like $600 or more in parts, and the audi is inspected and on the road and is a 1988 80 quattro with the 5cyl and a 5spd, so it's an awesome, fast, sporty CORNERING MACHINE (and it's got 4 doors so I can fit more than 3 people in at a time, and it gets twice the gas mileage)
