Hello all, new to posting. I own a '91 Legacy Sport and would like to get some mods started.
Wanted to see what anyone would suggest as a good order to proceed in.
My first suggestion has been to start with a new sway bar.
I look forward to the responses on this one.

While shampoo might clean out your turbine housing, conditioner will add extra lubrication to the shaft bearings, so I'd say go with the conditioner first.
Definitely wanna use Herbal Essences though, as the turbo will feel sexiest and emit the most arousing noises.

shampoo your seats with Herbal Essences and then pick up chicks. Tell me if they have orgasms
With the SS, you already have a nice swaybar. Or was 91 the only year they didn't have the dual swaybar? Someone chime in.

Welcome.
It does already have a nice swaybar, but my understanding is that Whiteline makes a nice upgrade. It is a pretty easy install, too.
The first thing to do, Steve, is usually to fix up everything -- everything -- you can. A 14-year-old car probably has a lot of worn stuff. Most of the stuff that's worn out can be replaced with upgrades instead of equivalents, too.
Like struts -- use GR2s.
Or tires -- upgrade to some nice rubber, maybe with some WRX-sized wheels at the same time.
Brakes -- A set of stock WRX brakes (if you get 16" wheels), or at least some nice performance street pads.
Et cetera.

Whack, you've just been hit with the search stick my dear Busdriver

. In short, it's a mod where you remove the resonatore and replace with a stainless coffee mug.

I agree with Vikash(VRG3). That's how I've gone about modifying my car up until last month. Once you run out of things to replace, you have to make reasons to replace them.

With an L Wagon, the mug mod need not apply, Busdriver. If you are curious about what it is on the SS, look for it, and you'll find out.
With modifying this car, a lot of it comes down to your goals and/or budget. Much is interchangable with newer all the way to brand-new Subarus, which boils down to how much effort/loot you want to spend on your ride. It can be a fun but docile daily driver to the all-out sleeper.
There is alot of little stuff you can do for cheap, as well as hardcore nitty gritty if you so desire. Speed costs money, how fast do you want to go?

I agree. I'm putting the Lee away this winter so I can do some maintenance, TLC, and save the insurance money for mods next summer.
He says "Good idea"

I appreciate all the feedback. Unfortunately I don't sleep on a mattress full of money so I'll probably choose the upgrade as you repair route.
My buddy showed me this board and its nice to find somewhere specifically for us Legacy lovers.
My first and most pressing repair is my CV boot/axle. Not real fun, but better than a busted ride.
