Is it worth fixing? This would be by me. I'm a good mechanic, but never attemped body work.

Needs 2 doors if you look close and the leading edge of the rear wheel well is tweaked too. Battery was not crushed, radiator and A/c is fine. Some wiring smashed.

Or find a Impreza shell and swap?

The details:
212K miles, runs good. Auto going out. Clean interior. Bought 4 months ago for $800. It was meant to be a rallycross car, but drove so well I was driving it every day over my WRX.

Ouch. Looks like frame damage up front. Swap time.

It's only a sedan. Do an impreza swap. :)

What's the deal with the impreza swap?
I have a 92 SS that is smashed up front.

Impreza swap loses about 300 pounds to the car. And 99% bolt on deal. A few wiring issues and I think the radiator need something done to it. Suspension/engine/trans is 100% bolt in.

Makes me wanna cry, sorry man.

You could fix it... guess it depends on how you feel about the car. I myself dont like the look of the Imps so if I were going with the swap I'd be looking at something a bit more adventurous.

Well, looked at it closer.

The core support and the inner fender (structural) are mangled.

Budget reasons force this to be a d.i.y. project. Unless somebody convinces me that I can repair the structure to original I will be looking for a donor shell. BC/GM/GF or maybe GC. Budget is tight, like $300 then maybe another $300 in December. After Feburary is tax time, so then the budget goes way up.

If anybody knows of anything. Hit up my PM box.

In case you were wondering. I glanced the right rear of a lowered F150 Harley Davidson Edition. I guess three or four cars up somebody slammed thier brakes. I was just the unlucky one to be last in line.

What about just swapping the impreza shell on to the ss?

Thats not a really bad fix to be truthful, it can be done if your patient on locating a donor car. I would take a clip and tig nice welds and replace that, youll never notice. wouldnt take but a week if you could pound on it straight.....JMHO

$5000. That's the estimate. Basically everything on the driver's side needs replacing/fixing. Even the rear quarterpanel, as there is a wrinkle/kink in the rear doorsill.

So...Yeah....Reshell.

If I find an Impreza lots of good Legacy parts will be on the market. I'll let you know what I find.
