im in the middle of the at/mt swap and we have the manual tranny in and all bolted up, i crossed wires eleven and twelve of the b15 connector and cut the wire turning the AT tranny in to the manual , when we turn the key it makes a sound like it is trying to start, but it doesnt turn over?? i am really stuck and have read the LEGACY 777 write up and found nothing , i think it might be something with the ignition but am not sure, is there a wire that i missed???

Pressing in the clutch? (Or for that matter, do you have that system hooked up?)

When you say it's trying to start, but doesn't turn over. What do you mean? Is the starter turning over and the engine rotating? Or does the engine turn over, and it just not start?

Have you double checked all your wiring? Are you sure you are looking at the connectors correctly?

yea i followed the instructions on ur website and yes the starter engages and turns the flywheel but from there it just sits and goes erg erg erg , though i didnt mess with the neutral safety switch deal you mentioned, what steps exactly do i need to make it start ?? im stuck and lost

The neutral switch doesn't really affect the starting.

The clutch interlock system has been bypassed when you jumpered pins 11 & 12 of the B15 connector.

Not sure what to tell you.

you're not getting spark or fuel.

if you were, and something like a sensor were off (or the timing, for that matter) it would fire wrong, like backfiring through the intake or in the exhaust stroke.

hmmmm ok
