what is an EJ20g??

as the bulletin said i am trying to find out what an ej20g is , i have heard it is another version of an ej20t, an ej20t is what i am looking for, are there any major differences??? thank you

As far as I am aware there is no EJ20t. When people say this all they are saying is 2.0 turbo.
The list from old to new is.
EJ20g JDM
EJ20k JDM
EJ207 JDM
EJ205 US WRX
There are some twin turbo jdm 2.0 engines as well
EJ20H
EJ20R
The EJ20g is the only closed deck 2.0 It came with Swing arm HLA DOHC heads in the 89-93 JDM Legacy. It also came with better heads in the early JDM WRX. But the Legacy version is more common and cheaper.

The only thing I would add is that only the '89-93 Ej20G's are closed deck. After that, they are open deck, except for the fairly rare STi v1 and v2 ones...
