Turbo stuff:

A: KYB does NOT make an AGX for the non-turbo.
B: KYB DOES makes an AGX for the Legacy Turbo.
C: Legacy Turbo struts fit on the non-turbo (i proved this today, more about
that later).
D: Therefore, a KYB AGX WILL fit on a non-turbo.

I'm saying use the springs that you already have. If you get Eibachs it will
be too harsh for daily use. In fact, go to a junkyard and get a set of
Legacy Turbo springs or see if 25RS springs will bolt in.

not for later:
I swapped in a set of Legacy Turbo struts (care of Richard, the parts
Manager at Royal Moore Subaru in Hillsboro, OR), and the ride is MUCH MUCH
sweeter. the Turbo struts are gas filled (and only had 40k miles on 'em)
where as the stock ones are oil filled (and had 160k miles on 'em.

What can i say. HUGE difference. I'm going to get an alignment after the
springs settle. i just can't stop smiling today.. hehehe..

I think you missed part of the point. I do not have springs, the car is
equipped with the infamous "Air Suspension". Therefore the question is, Can
I fit Legacy Turbo Springs into my 90 LS wagon? (I would be inclined to use
the KYB GR2 struts) Another question is will the Leg Turbo springs from a 91
"sedan turbo" fit a 90 wagon ?? That question arises because the dealer near
me does not show a 91 turbo wagon.

This truly is a pain in the ass. If I get it figured out before the air BAGS
quit holding air I will be happy.

Mike, I would have to think that, yes, the turbo springs would fit your
wagon. I believe the 90 and 91 Legacys used the same basic set-up for the
springs and struts, then in 92 they changed a bit. I know they did not make
a 90 Legacy turbo(sedan or wagon), but Subaru is quite convenient at not
"reinventing the wheel" between model years. As far as the way the actual
springs and struts mount, there is no difference that I know of between an
L, LS, LSi, Turbo, whatever. The actual specs may be different from model to
model, but the basic design is the same. I would bet the 91 Turbo springs
would fit with no problem, but I never did it so I can't say for sure.

The difference between the wagon springs and sedan springs is something to
think about. Personally, it wouldn't matter much too much to me I don't
think, but then again, I've never driven a wagon with sedan springs so who
knows. Also, I seem to recall the only major problem with the springs from
90-91 and 92-94 were the fronts, the rears may be interchangeable. I know
they are different part numbers between groups of years, but FWIW, the
pictures of the rear springs in the parts book look identical to each other.
If that were the case, you could simply get 92 Turbo wagon rear springs.

One thing is for sure, whatever you do end up with, alot of questions will
be answered

There is a difference between springs between the 4wd and 2wd model
legacies, 90 and probably 91. You'll only probably run into this on the L
models though
