Attention Vikash; your ECU pinout diagram

Hi Vikash!

I figured I'd make this a post instead of a PM, since someone else might be wondering the same thing.

On one of your many helpful and intuitively-laid-out drawings, the ECU connector pinouts ( http://www.graphics.cornell.edu/~v/ecupins/ )....

To what documentation do the connector labels F47, B56, B58, and B48 refer? In the LCO 1992 Engine/Electrical FSM scans, the ECU schematics call them connectors a,b,c,d; I mean, it's rather obvious which connector is which by their sizes... but I'm just curious where you found them labeled F47, B56, B58, and B48.

Is there some other piece of Subaru documentation that I'm missing?

Thanks in advance!

They're used throughout the "Troubleshooting" section of the "Fuel Injection System" chapter and the "Wiring Diagram and Troubleshooting" chapter of the factory service manuals. Some of this is included in the scans you're referring to.

There's a little information about the harnesses encoded in the connector names -- the "F" stands for "front" and the "B" stands for "bulkhead."

I think it's actually on the page you're looking at. Are you looking at the wiring diagram for the ECU in section 6-3? Look at the bottom of the page and it shows you little pictures of each connector. Each picture is labelled with both the "a,b,c,d" name as well as the "F47, B56, etc..." name.

Ditto.

Look below the MPFI control unit on the right side of the scan
