hey phil. won't you be traveling with the port crew?
rallysam - would you be interested in meeting up with us there or along the way?

Maybe. Meeting up at some point would be cool,, but I'll have to let you know my plans closer to the date. Depends if I have a whole crew of my college buddies with me that I'm playing host to.

I'll be there, obviously.
r-Sam- You're welcome to stay with me again if you want. I'm sure Phil will be gracing the green monster but I have another couch with hide-a-bed now!
I'm strongly considering the TDR this year as well as thinking about camping up there instead of commuting this time.
Jess-It's cool. I usually coardinate (sp?) the STPR festivities a little closer to go time but an early heads up can't hurt!

I was wondering when you'd chime in! Cool man. Like I said above, I'll have to figure out who's coming with me and what our plans are, but we'll definiteley have to at least cross paths, if not hang out more.

I got a cabin right near hunters lake, about 10 mins from worlds end national park. Down the road from eaglesmere. Im sure i could shack 7-10 people up with no probs...if the grandparents o.k. it....its their cabin.

I'm definately there! Ahhh the Green Monster. I need to sit on the floor if I'm going to stay awake when I go to Matts house.
Sam, we could caravan up there together if you decide to go that way.

Yeah, let's do it. We decided to do the bachelor party another weekend so I'm unencumbered.
I have this B&B reservation west of Wellsboro right near a bunch of the stages. Should I cancel that because we are going to crash at Matt's the whole weekend or camp or what?

I think I'm going to check this out this year. I've never been to this rally before so you kats need to give me some guidance on the best places to go and where to stay. I'd love to meet up with you guys too. I haven't met anyone off this board yet. It'd be cool to put some faces to names and drink some beers with you guys.
Anyone got more info on this Charity Road rally? The link on the website is broke.

Matt will probably be announcing info about a Legacy meet later on if you want to chill with us. Or, if you search nasioc in your local region forum, you'll find threads for nasioc caravans, meets, campsites etc...
I've always gone up with a couple friends and found my own way around. All you have to do is get into Wellsboro on Friday (or at the very latest, at the ass crack of dawn Saturday morning). The goal is to pick up the specator guide so you have directions and the schedule for the first spectator spot. Once you have the guide, you're set.
Or, you can just follow the old Legacies

damn... Potsdam is way upstate. I'll be in Plattsburgh in May, my buddy is graduating and we're going to spend the weekend getting crunked. If you come down to STPR we should meet up and caravan out.

Hey Matt,
So is it "a go" this year?
Do people usually crash at your place the night before? Or does the group stay somewhere around Wellsboro?
I have this B&B reservation that I should probably ditch if I'm not going to use it (to be fair to the lady). So, that's really what I want to know. It's a great place that my friends and I stayed at last year - right in the thick of all the stages to the west of town. But, she's a nice, quiet, old lady so it wouldn't be an option for us if it's going to be a big group and if we want to party at all.
Also, I heard that they rearranged the routes and schedule this year. The Splash WILL NOT be the first stage, it'll be #4. So, it'll be a whole new game plan! That sucks because someone will have to get a program the day before or whatever to figure out what's goin on..

It should be a go. Let me double check with my better half though because we are going to have a new born. I'll check asap.
In the past I usually just went up early on Saturday but it might be fun to go up for Fridays festivities too.

Ok, well I guess I'll cancel my reservations. I'm assuming it will be more than just a few of us?

A whole bunch of people usually caravan up to the rally together but I doubt too many paople will be staying with me. My place will have to be on the down low too because we're going to a have a newborn in the house. It will still be fun but mellow.
If you want a more active, exciting atmosphere then you might not want to cancel. I want people to stay but it has to stay really mellow and can't be too many. I'm sure the Wellsboro scene (especially camp sites) would be much more exciting on Fri/Sat night but I'm only about 45 minutes away and we can be up there most of the time and just sleep at my place.

Matt, I'd like to make a reservation for the Green Monster, please.
I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else

. Matt's house is way too much fun.
AHHH I'm so excited. I just can't hide it.

Hehehe, Jen already embriodered "Phils spot" on the back of the couch, just so everyone knows straight away to not even try for it!
I have a hid-a-bed now too. So that's another spot or two of pleasent comfort.
