RHD conversion

I just picked up some parts from a RHD clip, they were local and I figured I might take a shot at doing a RHD conversion. I pulled the dash from a LHD to see what I am in for, the bracket that holds the steering column has to be cut an welded to the other side alone with some other tabs if I want to have heat. I am not going to install the A/C. In the engine compartment I will have to move the brack booster to the right side, right where a sensor cluster is located. Not sure yet if I have to swap the harness wires that were under the dash or just modify some wires.
So far it makes doing an engine swap as easy as changing a battery.
Plus, if I do get this done it would be a shame not to put the twin turbo ej20h in it. Where does it stop? Does it ever?

I'm glad somebody's going to do it. I'm sure you'll get it done, and I will be very envious.

You may be envious, but I will be surprised!

Maybe I'm not understanding something, but other than the novelty of it, why would you do a RHD swap?

To fit a twin turbo engine.

A WRX came in the other day with an RHD conversion, most definitely incomplete

. The only thing inside was the seats, dash, and some custom wiring. The carpet was removed, the trim pieces under the dash were missing, so all the wiring was all over the place...
But it was kinda cool

I think the question should be "Why wouldn't you do a RHD swap?"

Well, I personally am very comfortable driving on the proper side of the car. I'm right handed, so I like using that hand for shifting gears. I like being able to pull up to a drive-through and actually reach the window. I would much rather spend the money it would take on other upgrades and modifications.
I wasn't aware of the possibility of a twin turbo swap that was only RHD. So far this is the only reason I've heard that makes sense. Unless you just really like being different... in that case, I wish you the best of luck, hope you enjoy it, and I want to see pictures because it sounds like an impressive project. To each his own.

He can also be the fastest mail box bomber around. Fast food is bad for you. Not reaching them is a good thing.

Bah. Drive-through is reserved for the coffee stand.

I know we dont do things on the basis of how easy they are around here, but cant you just import a T-Leg from Japan?
You could even get a broken down one and fix it if you didnt want it to be THAT easy

as far as drive thru... just go in them in reverse... we used to do it all the time in my friends car... unfortunately it's a honda... but still...
also had to do it in my fiance's rabbit, her window never liked to roll down.
