Hi,
I'm new to this forum.......I just upgraded from a 2000 legacy to the newer 2.0 turbo wagon......its an automatic.
I want to know if I can put a BOV on it; would I get/feel the diff. in performance; the type to get; the 'how-tos' etc...
Pls help, those who have the experience in this......
Tks a million!

It's not really a performance upgrade. I mean, if you had drastically changed the performance of your car, then maybe it is something you would need to do eventually, but it wouldn't make a difference on a car that's near stock.
Most people wouldn't admit it, but they do it for the sound.

(that's why I did it. Although I wish I could remove the whistle on the HKS, it's really forking loud)
When I replaced the stock recirc valve with an atmospheric BOV, I definately noticed the turbo spooled down MUCH quicker between shifts. So it actually slowed me down a bit. That's why I want to set up my GReddy as a recirc valve. (damn HKS doesn't have a fitting to run as recirc)
By the by, in an automatic it'll get way less usage; only when you let off the throttle in boost - you won't be doing that to shift, only to stop accelerating....

Welcome to the site.
Where do you live to be able to buy a newer 2L turbo wgn?
Yes---stay with the stock recirculating valve.

Tks, I'll do.
I'm from Trinidad and I brought this (2003) model from Japan...
Its in TIP TOP condition and cost MUCH LESS than buying it here
............BTW....is there any advice you guys could give me that I can do (minimal) to enhance a 'stock' turbo auto....?
tks again!!!

Clearing up the intake with a K & N air filter and removing the snorkus is a good step. Others have done the "coffee mug " conversion, as well.
Then you could clean up the exhaust by getting rid of the main cat.
After that, spending of money and time gets somewhat compulsive.

I'll definitely put a K&N air filter.....cause I've seen and HEARD the difference it can do on my lil bros. Altezza (Straight 6 auto.)
...but help me out here..this may be a sort of stupid question but remember all this TURBO stuff is pretty new to me; what is the snorkus and the " coffee mug" ?
tks......

The Snorkus is the bit of intake that is inside the fender. A silencer really. Removing it increases intake noise, and gives marginal performance gain.
The coffee mug is something you don't have and couldn't use.

tks......but what is the coffee mug exactly?
...or...what about "performance" spark plugs? Does this really make any difference?
