I got 100 of em. Funny, I've been a member for a LONG time, and only have 100 invites. Maybe because I've only ever sent one invite.

Yeah, they keep giving you more as you use 'em. Kinda like the storage space, I started out with 1GB and now have almost 3.
I agree the new Google chat/talk is done well. Unintrusive and effective. And automatically archives conversations much like email threads.
