New Oil Pan and coolant hard lines?

Going through this Ej22t, im noticing more and more things lol. Replacing the seals/gaskets on this thing, I notice what looks like rust hidden under grease and gunk all over the oil pan and coolant hard lines. I remove the front main coolant line from the oil cooler to the water pump...and theres a nice hole in it from all the corrossion. Great.

Not wanting to take a chance, I'd like to replace them all. Are there any cheap alternatives, perhaps getting them off of a used n/a subaru? Or are these ej22t specific? I'm hoping at least the oil pan is the same as an n/a...

Thanks~

Are you talking about the one that runs across the front of the engine, under the timing belt?

I got the wrong water pump for my engine, it didnt have a nipple for the oil cooler. I ran a line from the oil cooler and spliced it into the turbo line with a T

Been running fine for 2 months like that.

If I were you, I'd get a 90 degree elbow and a couple feet of heater hose. should be fine.

If you're REALLY worried about something flying up from the road and slicing it, through a piece of 5/8ths aluminum tubing around the hose.

Hey thanks for the suggestion. I was looking at some pics of usdm wrx motors and noticed they have the same front hard line, so that's another option I can go with.

I'm just worried now about the oilpan, and the other hard lines that go from the pump up to ontop of the head to the coolant resivior. Maybe I can just sand them down and spray them with anti rust. I just don't like doing half-ass jobs :( But I'm sure I won't be able to find these lines easily used.

Will a wrx or any other type of oil pan fit? Does anyone know if they sell aftermarket aluminum pans for these cars?

from an oil cooler?

I'd be surprised.

Very few subies came with the water-cooled oil cooler.

Only the 91 turbo had an oil cooler standard. After that, the 02 WRX was the next subaru to have an oil cooler from the factory that will work with a turbo engine.
