What have any of you done about the peeling black trim above the windows. Mine has been crappy since i got it over 4 years ago, and I'm looking to freshen it up. Any little tricks to get it looking good. Paint to use? How easy is it to remove to work on without breaking it??
thanks

Easy to remove. Solution? Well, we've tried all kinds of things. Some people just tape the thing with electrical tape while others sand it down and repaint it.

Good stuff, I gotta head over to my dad's shop this week anyways to replace my oil pressure switch thats leaking and stinking my car up, so I'll grab some paint to do it up if its nice out.

So I took a quick peek at the trim pieces, and I was hoping that some of you could give me the method to remove them. I'm sure its easy, I just dont want to destroy them. Does it just pop off or is it screwed on.
*edit* I'm going to be doing this tomorrow, so any tips on how to remove the trim would be appreciated.
thanks

I painted mine on the car. Just masked everything off really well and sprayed away.
if anyone knows how to remove it, though, that'd be great. I was planning on pulling off all the trim and painting it completely black.....

Sorry I didnt post earlier. You have to pull the plastic upper trim pieces from the inside of the car to expose the nuts for the trim in question. There are posts from the peely trim that run into the car. It looked like 8mm nuts.
I am definately going to be removing them to repaint, because I will not be able to get the black off and it'll just peel from the edges. I have all the supplies, just need some free time (aka no homework)
