Hey,

I know or thought this was brought up in the beginnings of the group. It was a custom shifter linkage, I don't remember who it was by, but the feedback was that it felt better than the sti short throw package. Anyone know anything more about this? or if it's still being pursued?

Also, Dave do you have a specific contact @ JCSports that you were talking to about your Auto => 5spd tranny swap? If so can I get the name/email of that person. I'd like to start getting some info about it. If I could get the short shifter and do the tranny at the same time, that'd be the best. Also what sort of time frame are you looking at for doing your car? I guess it'd be nice to have some feedback on the overall experience....not to say that you're the guinea pig, but.....ok well you are

I don't remember who i talked to there, specifically, but they were
very nonchalant about the whole thing, as if it weren't a major
operation for them.

Matt was trying to get the kartboy to do a Legacy shifter but i'm not
sure what's come of that.

I'm not sure i want to go 600 miles and trust them to have it done in
no more than two days. I just can't bring myself to trust them with
my car after all the bad experiences with their parts.

I'm going to keep looking for a good local place to do it instead.
I'll let you know what i find.

That's cool Dave. All I basically want to know is the parts to do
it.....I'd sooner do it myself. I'll probably save some money, and know the
shit is done right, but I'm not sure if there is going to be problems with
the ECU. Does the front diff come with the tranny as one piece or would I
have to change the diff out also....I wouldn't assume the drive ratios in
the diff are the same, but I could be wrong....

Josh-I`ve been trying to get a message to (and all) for several days-I guess my e-mail was`nt working or it was a case if GIGO. Anyhow, call John @ JC sports or Scott @ SPO motorsports-I`ve had very good luck with both. Also, look @ Matt`s latest page (cool!) & check the info section on the coil & MSD Dis2. Same coil I have & will be looking into after I get my 8mm wires-PS-Borla headers are not noisy but effective. Total benefit will occur after the 2 1/2" exhaust system.-I`ll post again soon-ROD
