ECU compatibility

Ive been pouring over wiring diagrams trying to figure this out, and it LOOKS like this is true:

1991-1994 USDM Turbo legacies have exactly the same ECU connectors and wiring as 1989-1994 Australian Liberty RS's and 93-96 WRXs

If someone can confirm this to be true, I think Im going to order an aftermarket ECU which is for a 93 WRX, and spend a lot of time praying while I wait for it to arrive.

Bump!

I think this will drive the 440cc injectors I have a little better than the stock ECU.

440s with the stock ecu send AFR's to the 9's and lower at 10psi. But I did make 185ftlbs at the wheels at rocket! I belive the ignition driver circuit has to be reworked a bit but no big deal.

Splinter - I Just moved to BC - I'm sure we'll bump into eachother soon enough.

Yes, ej22t and ej20g ECUs are plug compatable with a few exeptions.

Most importantly, the ej20g is coil on plug. Ej22t is wasted spark (coil pack). This means that the ej22t has only 2 spark output pins while the ej20g has 4.

Yes we used an Autronic for a WRX on a legacy SS without issues a while ago...
