ok well the other day my car started to PUKE oil, and i mean bad, it would not leak at idle but if you reved it up to about 1500rpms it would puke out the front, i thought the oil pump seal went out.

so tonight i tore it apart thinking it was the oil pump, nope i pulled the crank sproket and it was the dam front main seal. i just did a nose job about 2 months ago. it had some how pushed it self out and rubbed on the sproket until it wore a whole in the seal where it started to leak.

what could cause that? i know it was seated in all the way, just thought it was intresting.

Thanks for any ideas
Shean

check your pcv system. you could be experiencing excess crankcase pressure. also,be sure to put the seal in dry and clean(lube the seal to crankshaft surfaces) the seal should be installed just beyond the outer lip(.010 or so)
